Much better built than the competition and less expensive too. Cable clamp means that you can use this for an extension cord or a wall mount. My application was to mate it to a crow foot plug as an adapter. A ready made adapter would run $100 more than the components and this way, you know what you are using is built right. Cooper stuff is easier to use because it has better engineering and construction. The fact that it costs less is an added bonus and confirms the conclusion that using Cooper is a no-brainer!

Our typical big box stores were out when we desperately needed them - Hurricane Helene and no power. These were easy to install on our existing cable and generator was up in running in no time. Functioned perfectly to restore power to our home during the power outage. Fit perfectly

I bought a 240V extension cord from TechnoRV but the receptacle end was overheating due to poor continuity. The wires were poorly connected to the receptacle. TechnoRV has seriously limited “warranty†and in all practical sense, did not back their products. Luckily, I found this receptacle, lopped off the original one and connected it to the extension cord. It has been performing flawlessly since. No more overheating, and therefore, no more error codes from the mobile connector for my EV.

Seems like a good product. Was easy to install. The only things I have questions on are the wire clamp, the single screw for the plastic hood, the screw terminals, and the neutral terminal. The wire clamp is screws to the outside of the box, but so far it seems to have kept up as an extension cords end. There is only one screw holding the front case to the back, so the part where your wiring goes may seem a little loose. The neutral screw is the tallest and works great for six gauge wire, but will be too high to mount the plastic case if you are a larger wire size.The screw terminals push the strands of stranded wire to the side, and seem like they are built for solid core wire. Other similar products use a brass plate to spread out where the screw pinchs the wires so that they have better contact.

It makes a nice strong connection to the prongs of the connector. The screws that clamp the wire could be a little beefier but for $8 I can't complain too much. I would order this one again without hesitation.

These plugs all look about the same regardless to supplier. I've installed many and this one is about like the rest. Quality and ease of installation is about the same. The biggest convenience is that Amazon ships it to your door and usually for a couple bucks less then the big box hardware stores.

I used this to convert a dryer cable that I had to a Nema 14-50 plug for my Tesla Model 3. I wasn't able to find one of these at the big box stores. Amazon always has the stuff I can't find in the stores and the price was good. I can plug into a dryer outlet and then plug in my Tesla mobile charger. This will give me 24 amps for charging.
