This edger is really thick and durable. It assembled very easily, and came with the necessary hardware to do so, however, mine's mount holes on one section were offline from the others by a little bit, and the top handle is not fully parallel to the blade, but it is manageable in use. The handle is a good length, and nice and wide at the top with a comfortable diameter. The blade itself is thick and the serrations easily sliced through the grass roots along my sidewalk, cutting deep so they have a tougher time growing back (something even my powered edger doesn't do). The footplate to push it into the ground is wide and strong enough to get really good force on it (it did not even flinch at my 200+ pound full body weight), and it did not feel like you are stepping on the back edge of the blade. I also used this to create a small bare patch to extend my flowerbed, and it worked way better than the trenching shovel I used before, slicing easily into the dirt and cutting twice as wide. This would work great using it with a flat shovel to trench for underground piping or wiring too, using the edger to cut, and the shovel to dig as the edger would not dig very well, but could easily chop up the dirt.Other than the issue of the handle being off parallel from the blade several degrees, I would suggest getting some plastic bolt caps to go on the ends of the bolts used in the handle. They protrude a bit and catch on things like clothing and gloves. I plan to use some rubber-dip coating to cover them since I already have some, but these bolt ends are something to be aware of.My only ask of the manufacturer the inclusion of a thick plastic sheath or guard for the blade, as it is very sharp and pointy, and if it is set down too hard, or falls even a short distance, it is strong and heavy enough to break or chip stone or concrete, and will definitely make holes in wood or plastic. It would definitely be worth a few bucks extra on the price of this tool to include a full blade sheath, and I think the customer would gladly pay it for the safety.I highly recommend this tool.

What I first noticed about this tool when I opened the packaging was the weight. It is a hefty chunk of steel that will get the job done. The serrated blade cuts nicely into the ground and the foot area has a little shelf so you can really press down without hurting your foot. It was a little difficult to assemble for me because I’m having some issues with my hand strength, but for the average person I think they can get the bolts plenty tight enough. The blade comes with a protective plastic cover so assembly is safer. All of the tools needed to assemble came in the box. The correct number of screws was included, but no extra. The instructions were clear (even though they aren’t recalled needed because assembly is straightforward). Looking forward to keeping my sidewalk clear of creeping grass this year :-)

This edger works well once it's put together but the holes for the bolts to go through don't line up well. It was a pain trying to get them all in their holes but it was doable. Once together it worked well and cut through the grass and dirt easily.

This is a great addition to my garden tools! I am adding in a new in-ground landscaping bed this year, and the sharp, serrated blade of this edger cut right through the grass and weeds to get the outline of the bed started. Assembly was easy, and everything you need to put the tool together is included. Nothing started to wiggle or come loose while I was using the tool, but I think it is a good idea to keep the little wrenches handy just in case. The overall size of the edger is great, and there is plenty of room to get my foot on it to press down into the soil. The handle is sturdy and comfortable to hold, so you can really get good leverage to pull the tool back. With proper care I think this garden tool will last a long time, so I think it is a great value and I definitely do recommend it.

This edger has very solidly built components, and I really like the serrated blade. I’ve used edgers before that don’t have that and were harder to use. I particularly like that the foot plate is comfortable. I’ll be using this edger to help dig out an area of lawn to install a brick raised bed and retaining wall. This will be great for that. I found the edger easy to assemble as well. And while it has heft, I don’t find it too heavy to use. The height is also good. Would recommend.

My yard has never looked better thanks to this edger tool. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the spring steel blade makes a huge difference in getting a clean, crisp edge along my flower beds and lawn; it's surprisingly easy to use. The long handle is a great help, saving my back from unnecessary strain—I can finally edge my yard without feeling like I ran a marathon. The wide footplate is also a great feature, providing the stability I need to make precise cuts, and the manganese steel construction gives me the confidence that it's built to last 💯. This tool has made garden maintenance a much more enjoyable experience; I'm really happy with this find.

So far, this edger seems ok, although perhaps I need to learn to use it better, as I still prefer my spade for most digging tasks. It was easy to assemble and all the tools you need for assembly are included. The edge is sharp, and cuts through the grass and soil easily. Right now, the ground is fairly moist, so I haven't been able to test it on dry ground. I do have a little trouble aiming it exactly where I want it because there's a lip right above the blade (the lip is for pushing with your foot, but it does obstruct the view of the tip of the blade). Despite the construction (3 parts screwed together instead of one long, solid pole), so far it seems to be reasonably sturdy. It may work very well at trimming the sod where it wants to grow over the pavement; I will test that when the grass starts growing again.
