This product saved me a ton of money. I bought an expandit weed whack with an edger attachment for almost $400. I'm a senior and it was so difficult to assemble, even after I sought assistance from my 30 year old neighbor, that I was forced to return it. I read the reviews and decided to just do it the old fashioned way with an edging shovel. It took me no time at all to assemble and even less time to edge the sidewalk. I just saved myself $370.

I didn’t need anything fancy. I just had some edging to do in order to lay down mulch in a few places in my yard.This arrived in three parts and was very simple to put together. It did exactly what I needed to do which was creating a small trench so mulch will sit around designated areas.

i find it best for the areas around the beds - where i have that plastic border. it's not completely straight - i didn't do it and i have no intention of redoing it, so i jusy try to maintain it. because it's not straight it's difficult to manuever too many tools around it. this is a better option - i can push down the overgrowth and clean up from both sides of the border. as for the sidewalks and along the driveway - not a super fan. it's a very slow process and because the end piece is not sharp it does not cut the runners that i need to clean up. there is way too much sidewalk and driveway length that needs to be cleaned up for me to try and use this in the heat. i will go back to a whacker or a something that moves along vs using this manual process. for me - this is a good option for a edge cleanup in certain areas, but for the larger areas - and most traditional areas that need edging, this is not for me.

I was a little leery, being I have found many long handles that come in pieces to assemble tend to be flimsy and weak. This is a nice heavy product, and the handle is surprisingly sturdy after assembly. We use it a lot for weeds and edging in our area, and our neighbors have asked to borrow it a few times because it is so effective.

This manual edger comes in 3 pieces. It took @ 5 minutes to assemble. It feels very solid after assembly. I have never used an edger. I went out and stuck it in the ground next to the sidewalk and wiggled it. Wow! It made an edge. I can see that it should be down after a rain storm so the ground is soft. It will be trickier when I have to cut through grass but I will watch a couple of DIY videos first.
