Auto Mode(Motion Sensor Mode)
Lights up in darkness when motion is sensed. 360° downward detection (18FT), 240° forward detection (10-60FT), adjustable illumination time (10s-10min).
D2D Mode(Dusk to Dawn)
Automatically turns on at night, stays off during the day, and only works at night. Off-on: 50-250LUX, on-off: MAX800LUX
Manual Override Mode(Switch Control Mode)
Turn the wall switch off - on within 3 seconds and the light will be on for 8 hours but will automatically turn off at dawn.

Had to rebuild an older dual outdoor fixture, and wanted to add a motion sensor to it. Luckily, the existing plate was a 3-hole plate, so removing the plug allowed a place for this to fit between the lamp fixtures. The original lamp holders were plastic and had become brittle, so ended up replacing those as well. The motion sensing function is working great so far. Nice to have the lights walking up two of my paths that converge just below the fixture, and working well for both approaches. I have this fixture mounted under an eave and although this limits the positioning of the lamps and the sensor module, all worked out well. If the down shaft had been maybe another 1" longer, it would have allowed a little more flexibility with this configuration, but all-in-all, it worked fine. For adding to an existing lamp holder, or replacing an existing motion sensor, this one seems to be a perfect one to use. Good adjustability for sensing distance and time-delay for how long you want lights to stay on upon sensing. Should I want to add another one to my existing exterior lights, would have no issue with purchasing again. Good price point and quick shipping.Update: After using for a few weeks, all is fine, but did notice that similar to another review, it is very sensitive to motion from either side of view, it doesn't seem to be as sensitive to motion directly in front of the sensor eye. Seems odd, but that's what I've observed. It picks up motion through trees close in and out far on the periphery, but I have to move in close direct on to it before it picks me up. It is located at a junction of paths coming from three directions - the two outside approaches are picked up quickly, but the direct on approach is delayed until I'm fairly close. I've tried changing view elevation and it doesn't seem to make a big difference. But overall, still happy!

When my spot light on my deck started malfunctioning I wasn't enthused about replacing the whole thing due to the not so easy that would be. Five minutes replacing just this controller and all works well again. Also much cheaper than replacing everything.

This sensor offers a great range and a good set of features. It picks up motion from almost 25 feet away. The installation is fairly easy if you have basic knowledge of wiring. Although I am happy with the price and the purchase, there are two drawbacks. The connecting arm is not a ball joint. The angle can only be adjusted up and down. In order to go from side to side, you can rotate the connecting arm but it will end up tilting the sensor. Also, the sensor does not pick up motions 100% of the time. It only happened a couple of times but I have not been able to determine any pattern of issues. Overall, the range and view angle is very good and it is a reliable sensor.

I purchased a total of three of these units. Two in December 2023 and another in January 2024. The December units are working fine and I am pleased. The January third unit starting having problems starting about a week ago. The unit turns on and off every other minute. There are no trees or bushes in it's field to set it off. I have turned the unit off', back on the next night and it works fine, but the following night it is back to on and off every minute. The unit is defective.The return period had expired and I was told to contact the company (Dewenwils). The interaction with the company representative was fast and professional. I received a replacement unit with 2 to 3 days. Outstanding business support.

Instructions were very small and hard to read, installed from wiring diagram from phone, lights worked but motion sensor failed. purchased a new light assembly was very easy to install, took approx. 10 minuets and everything worked.

Works, but the sensitivity adjustment is stupifyingly sensitive. The tiniest change in the adjustment beings about a huge sensitivity range.

This detector switch replaced a 30 year old switch. Was simple to wire up and so far is working perfectly.

Good quality product, it was installed in the base with ease. It is very sensible, sometimes it turned on without reason so I had to lower the sensitivity a bit but the sensing distance remained good. I am satisfied with it.

FYI the instructions are printed so small that even using bifocals I couldn’t read them. Had to take a photo and then zoom in.

I received this motion sensor for my outdoor LED flood lights. The install was easy. All necessary parts were in the box and I really like the wide angle of sensing. It was easy to setup after the install and all at a fraction of the cost of buying a complete floodlight kit with motion sensor.Thank you!
