I just bought this a couple of weeks ago so not much time has gone by but I am impressed by the quality feel of the hammer, I think it feels like something that will last until I am sick of looking at it.

Mine arrived damaged, but the seller made good to a satisfactory resolution. I like how durable this hammer is constructed, and also that you can replace the heads in the future if needed, without having to purchase a whole new hammer. In addition, the grip is good too and was one of the reasons I decided on this hammer as opposed to others that didn't have much of a grip. The handle is solid too - MUCH better than the hollow aluminum tubes on lesser quality models. The price was good as well. The black rubber head is softer than the other head, but not by much, so keep that in mind. I broke the lid I needed this hammer for on the 1st strike. In all fairness the lid was plastic and weathered though. I wanted a fairly solid hammer without spending a ridiculous price and this fit the bill nicely.

This worked much better than thistle hammers that come with the kits in the big hardware stores. If you're installing plank floors, get this one, your knuckles will be thankful.

Good for beating on stuff other than nails. Pounding inserts/ bearings/ races in place - where metal might mar or deform them. Sure beats a hammer and piece of wood.

This mallet worked good for the project I bought it for, erecting a diy shelf set for heavy weights. I was able to set the joints without damaging the shelves.

The tool itself would be quite good as far as weight and balance but one of the ends keeps falling off . I've only used it on 2 jobs and it falls off consistently. Perhaps some locktite on the threads will fix this .
