I got it to help crack the eggs (peeling) for Deviled eggs. Instead of taking the egg eggshell off it cracked the egg in half meaning you still have to peel the eggs yourself. This is the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever purchased.

I saw a similar gadget being used on a video cooking channel and decided to get one to try out for myself. I am always on the lookout for gadgets that will enable me to do routine tasks that I struggle with due to nerve damage that affects the use of my hands. This gadget is surprisingly useful to me in that regards. I tried it out on 4 extra large eggs, as that is currently the only size my chickens are providing at the moment. In cracking 4 eggs for fried eggs, 2 cracked with intact yolks, the other two the device pierced and broke the yolks. My eggs were too large for the device to completely close, however, it still perfectly cracked in a round circle with the shells remaining intact and no shell pieces falling into the eggs. That was quite impressive. This egg cracker will definitely occupy a space in my useful kitchen gadget/tools drawer. It is easy to use, clean and store. It is perfect for people who suck at cracking eggs or have difficulty in doing so. It definitely will not work on hard boiled eggs. I would recommend it for use in situations where you don't require an intact yolk, like for baking, scrambled eggs, etc. For me, this is a useful kitchen gadget that I didn't know existed, but am happy to have found it.

It doesn’t peel the egg shell off it simply doesn’t do anything What a rip off!
