I purchased this hidden vent wall safe for my husband who was looking for something like this. Overall, he was very impressed with it. It looks very much like a real vent and is extremely well made and sturdy. The installation process was very simple and straightforward. It took less than 45 minutes. It looks exactly like our existing vents and the locking mechanism is very sturdy and would be difficult to break into. Overall extremely happy with the product! Would definitely recommend.

Template is not for stud center. Use your stud finder to find edge of stud and use Template from that line. Would have been nice if that was specified. Also only securing to one stud is no secure enough. You will have to get long screws to reach other stud or build the other stud out.Also box is deeper than stud..so if you have a thin wall (drywall on both ends of stud) the box will not sit flush. $128 is a bit much for this IMO.

I really love the ingenious design of this little in wall lock box. As the saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind". This in wall hidden safe blends in perfectly with existing venting nobody is the wiser. I'll definitely be installing one of these in my next home.
