First step - Measure your tank
Please measure the length and height of the fish tank.
The length and height of the background must be larger than that of your fish tank.
The second step - Trim to fit
Use a tool to trim the part of the background beyond the fish tank.
The third step - Adhesive tape
Use the free adhesive tape at the four corners of the background.
The fourth step - Paste background
Attach the background to the back of the fish tank.

First of all NONE of the tank backgrounds have adhesion. You have to use clear tape to stick them your tank. This one is VERY high quality, very nice color and easy to cut and tape on plus its very well priced. Buy this one if you want to be happy. I know, I had to send back the last one due to VERY poor packaging

This is not an adhesive but if done right works just as well.Ordered the largest size and was able to do both my 20g and 75g tanks. Measuring is easy. Measure the front of the tank and cut to width. After tape it to the front of your tank and trim the bottom. I did the 1 part water 1 part vinegar as well. Be sure you clean glass thoroughly. Apply generous amount of water/vinegar then cling and slide in place. Use a good hard edge and push water out starting from the top. May take a couple passes. If it unclings just lift spray again and repeat.

Agree with Daniel who also reviewed this product. Carefully trim length and width. I used a paper cutter, but you can just use sharp scissors as long as you’re careful to get a relatively straight edge. Make sure the outside back of your aquarium is clean—I cleaned with 50/50 water/vinegar spray. Make sure the background side you are applying is also free of dust/debris. Then, generously spray the 50/50 vinegar/water all over the back of your tank. Have a friend hold one side at one end of the tank, and you hold the other. Line up the top of the background with top edge of tank, and then gently lay flat against the glass. If it starts to pull away during this process, spray the glass more. Finally, use a good straight edge (I used the kind that comes with the cell phone glass protector kits) to smooth out all the bubbles from underneath. Done, and I didn’t even need to use tape (yet)! Perfect thickness (it’s not paper so don’t worry about getting wet), looks beautiful, easy to install with a buddy. If I ever need a background again, this is what I will be using.

I wanted the black to make everything pop and it definitely did the trick. It did not prime shiplike it said it would, it shipped from China and took a week or so. Also, not sure why it says static cling, there was no adhesion at all and had to be taped but for the price that didn’t make me regret the purchase at all. The white specs in the photo are just air bubbles it being a new tank. Its really a nice crisp black.

Just what I was looking for and it sold at a reasonable price point too!I always attach these film type backgrounds with clear cellophane or packing tape on the back and attached to the edges of the tank. Very easy to position and attach that way and the tape blends into the edge after it's pressed down. The background comes rolled so there are no unsightly seams or folds to worry about. Provides a smooth backdrop of solid color for your aquarium that really makes the colors of your fish pop -- especially if you use the black colored side of the film. Looked at several of these online, and have used others in the past. In my opinion this is the one to get.

Don't buy this product. We tried soap and water mixture to get it to adhere and it won't. Tried Windex still nothing and then we decide to tape the edges that wouldn't adhere but then the middle of it did this. Looks horrible in our tank. DO NOT BUY!! HORRIBLE PRODUCT.WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF POSSIBLE

This background really punched out our aquarium fish, plants and scaping. I suggest cutting it to fit the top and bottom of the back of your aquarium. Then tape the top and cut the sides in place. The scissors run right down the sides of the tank. Easy to put in place. We chose to use the blue background which is quite dark but it really enhances our tank.

I got this for my 55 Gallon. It fits perfectly and the blue came out like an indigo blue, my fish really stand out now against it.
