Does what it claims to, opens jars and twist top bottles. Ignore the promo videos you see of this thing quietly and quickly popping lids, it moves a little slow and loud but does the job. My elderly mom loves it for opening jars that I used to have to make a special trip over to open.

My therapist suggested this to use because I fractured my wrist and can’t open anything and I also have hand arthritis so will need it on going. It’s great but keep in mind it doesn’t work on plastic jars. That was a bummer.

The unit did not have the power to open a salsa jar. Sounded like it was straining just to move the arms into place and when it tried to open the jar it grunted and stopped. Batteries were new. Don't waste your time or money on this.

However beware it doesn’t work on lids over 3†pickle jars are 3 1/2†so the main reason I purchased it for doesn’t fit. I was able to return it hassle free.
