As a father of a child who goes to primary school, the amount of pencil sharpening required per week is quite intense. After now years of using these cheap (almost disposable) sharpeners, we decided to "splurge" (less than ~$30) on an electric pencil sharpener.Pros:+ Electric sharpener! - Thus less arm/hand strain, faster sharpening, less cleanup+ Massive container for shavings+ Well-made design (suction cups to attach to table, rotating pencil shape wheel)+ Sharpens multiple types of pencils+ The auto-stop does work - so it is rather economical in its sharpening with less risk of completely shaving off the pencilNegatives:- You need an electric plug nearby (i.e. not wirelessly/battery driven)- The footprint is pretty significant for a sharpenerNeutral:+/- Some people really dislike the sound of it. I find it rather soothing that you can "hear" the device shaving off the pencil.+/- It is a forward feed design - many people like the haptics of a "top-loading" design more - I think that is debatable.Overall, if you come from manual pencil sharpening, this is nothing short of a game-changer. Such a convenient device that will help you keep everything sharpened at a lightning speed. Given the time and efforts saved, this is a great and affordable product even for occasional use - highly recommended. I can only image what efficiency gains you would get in heavy-duty classrooms that do not have an electric sharpener yet! If you already have an electric sharpener, this device is likely less impressive to you - however, its raw power and attractive price might still convince you to give this a try.

I had this sharpener for about a month now and it’s super powerful .I remember back when we used to have pencil sharpeners built in the house. My kid never has to worry about an un sharpen pencil again. It’s different guards for different size pencils and it works just like the school one. I always wanted one for myself.

I think it was a great purchase. I read a lot of reviews for different sharpers, but I love this one!•It’s slim.•good price, for how well it works.•Has suction cups that stick firmly to my desk.•Provides a perfect sharp point to the pencil.•It stops, when it senses the sharpening is done (which is great because it produces less pencil shavings. I’ve bought this about two months ago for my classroom and still haven’t needed to clean the sharpener)•it’s nowhere as loud as the old classroom sharpeners•save yourself the time, and just by this sharpener!

I like this pencil sharpener because it's lightweight, making it easy to travel with. It is not battery operated. It sharpens the pencil until it's fully sharpened, then it stops. The best thing is, it doesn't overheat. You can sharpen 100 pencils or more without worrying about it overheating, having to stop, and wait for it to cool down. The main thing I dislike about it is that it only lasted 9 months before I had to buy another one. But, I like it so much, I'm giving it one more try. If it doesn't last much longer, I won't be buying it again. So, fingers crossed. 🤞

When I first got this, I plugged it in and thought that it was not working well because it would turn on for a second and then turn back off. It took me a moment to realize that it automatically stopped sharpening when the pencil reached a certain level of sharpness. The color is nice, really important. It seems very durable, the noise is to be expected. And it's very easy to use. Plug it in and go. There are different size adjusters if you have a smaller or larger pencil too.

Previous pencil sharpeners I bought would sharpen to a point (no pun intended there), and then “shift to neutral,†if you can understand that. This one completely stops. It’s really nice when students use it, since they’re typically not paying attention and I previously had to tell them to stop trying to sharpen their pencil. This sharpener just shuts off. Handy.

I thought I was getting a double bladed system, however this system is not so bad. It works pretty fast and it doesn't let you go too far. It tends to stop abruptly when it gets to the point's limit, which requires you to work it a little more, but I really can't complain for the price. It does a pretty good job when you can figure out its little quirky nature of stops and constant restarts.

The sharpener it self is excellent. As you can see from before and after pencils side by side. However there is no way to adjust the length of the pencil sharpened. There is only one length to which it sharpened. Some times I want to sharpen just a little bit which is not possible with this sharpener. Nevertheless it does an excellent job of sharpening. Very smooth and clean work. Sharpener is very sturdy and well built. No issues. I recommend this product.Update: if a pencil lead is breaking again and again just leave the pencil in the freezer for few minutes and then sharpen it.2nd update: sharpener performing really well. No issues whatsoever. Really happy with this sharpener.

Unless the sharpener is broken, it doesn't work in the UAE. Has an American plug and I tried 2 different converters ... nothing. No sound or movement.
