I've had a few wooden and bamboo toilet seats that have cracked and broken often enough that I just couldn't justify replacing one again that was just going to break. I researched online for a long time before deciding on this seat and am really pleased with it. I did have a bit of an issue at first because the seat was slightly warped, so the metal connection bolt was chipping away slightly around the hole. With the help of a friend, we figured out that there was a warp, and that the back was lower than the front. I just so happened to have some additional bumpers right in a drawer in the bathroom (strangely), so I popped those on the back of the seat, a few inches from the bumpers that came with the seat and the problem was solved. This has been a really good seat, the plastic nuts do not loosen, I think I've tightened it once or twice in 6 months, but only because I wasn't sure they were still tight. I like the wood look and the ease of cleaning and durability, I will buy again if I need to, even though there was a slight warp. I know how to adjust that issue with additional bumpers and, since I did that, the seat has not chipped the hole in the toilet and I'm quite pleased with it on the whole.

I love it. But, I'm 78 and have the orthopedic handles also installed and I got stuck lying on the floor between them and the wall trying to tighten the bolts! It's a MAN thing! Extremely well worth the process. It's gorgeous!

What can I say? It's a beautiful toilet seat, but it's a piece of garbage that keeps coming loose. If you buy this thing, you better have good balance. There's NO excuse to continue selling a product that the manufacturers KNOW is faulty. It would be different if they fixed the problem. But, no, they just keep selling the same crap. IMO they deserve to go out of business.

I know it is "only a toilet seat", but I love it! I love having things absolutely match in every room. Purchasing this item makes the bathroom come together and not be "sterile white". As my husband says: "Wood warms the bathroom"!

We’ve been using this seat for a year and a half now. We loved how easy it was to install, the quiet close feature, and the look of the wood. It sat a 250+lbs person comfortably. Now it’s time to find a new toilet seat.The issue lies with the hinges. As wear and tear got to them, they became unstable and would constantly cause the seat to shift. We made sure that all bolts and screws were tightened and it would be fixed for a while. There is no way to tighten the actual hinge though. A black liquid started leaking from one of the hinges a couple months ago. Along with that, the seat could be jiggled side-to-side while all bolts were secured. This morning I found the lid broken off the hinge and one of the metal pieces snapped in half. Most likely from one of the kids using it in the night.It is a good toilet seat while it lasts, but not even lasting 2 years dings the review a bit.

nice item it matched my cabinets perfect and easy to install with a unique little tightening tool included ... i like the slow lowering of seat and lid so no salmming down if dropped... i do find the hinges are a bit sloppy and allows the seat to move a little bit, but not all that much to be really noticeable.. i think was a bit pricey but all in all a nice item..

Nous ne sommes que deux adultes et nous avons acheté ce siège parce que nous aimions l’idée qu’il se ferme plus doucement.Après seulement un mois et le mécanisme ne fonctionne plus.Je n’ai aucune idée comment je peux contacter le vendeur car ça fait maintenant un peu plus de un mois que nous l’avons acheté.Donc vendeur, manifestez-vous svp!Est-ce réparable ou est-ce qu’il y a une garantie? Merci!C’est décevant.

Very happy with this purchase. I decided to buy another for the other bathroom. The look and texture stands out with the beautiful dark finish. It is not a soft close, instead it is a heavy solid seat and it will make a loud bang if slammed closed. If you have a household that slams toilet seats then this is not for you.
