The quality, sturdiness and functionality, of this stand were decent for the price. It served the purpose that I needed it for, and it was fairly easy to assemble. I also like the fact that it is adjustable both vertically and horizontally. It also came with 4 heavy duty clips and a carrying and storage case which were nice.

I got this for the background cross pole with adapter for small backdrops and that's it. Had the stand been good, it would have been a bonus but it's not. It's awful. If you have nothing else, because this is your first stand, it will do... but know, it's awful. The cross pole is decent, sturdy plastic and decent for smaller backdrops and has a standard adapter that will work with any standard light stand. Here is the nitty gritty:- No instructions. Everything arrives in pieces. there are no labels for you to know now which pieces attached to which. If you have no familiarity with light stands or background poles, that will make your life all that much more difficult. Thankfully, I do, so I could go by process of elimination to figure out what goes where.- The stand is just bad. Once it's assembled, if you ever really want to break it down, it's designed to always be taken apart. That is annoying. The legs will not fold completely down into themselves and snap/lock into place like most (as they had to be screwed together). Hence, they'll always stick out a bit and since they don't snap/lock into place can slide out. The stand itself does not collapse down into itself because again, it has to be assembled by screwing each section into one another. Only the pre-assembled sections that telescope out, will collapse back down. So this thing has to be completely disassembled for ease of transport. Dumb and inconvenient.- It's all very light weight, so that is a pro.- To make this stand somewhat useable, I suggest labeling all of the parts A, B, C and so on (one you have them figured out as to where they go) so future uses and assembly times go quicker.- The cross bar / pole is very decent for being plastic. Seems to be quite durable plastic, but plastic nonetheless. It has telescoping extensions on each end to give you more length, if needed. My current background stand is designed for humans and is a pain for smaller setups (need to have a stand on each end), so I liked the idea of this one for still lifes and smaller projects. I wasn't sure I would like the singular connector point and did not want to dive into something expensive first. Considering this entire thing costs far lest than most singular adapter BG poles, I was fine with the potentiality of a horrendous stand, lol.- The bag, well, just consider it free at this price point. It holds everything but it does not feel like quality and who knows how long it will really last. The placement of the hook-n-loop to latch it closed, is in a very weird place, which does not keep it closed.... so my bag keeps flopping open. Pretty well useless. I'll fix it at some point.- The clamps included with feel super cheap (again, plastic). They work and yet again, not sure how long they will really last. If you don't have any other clamps on hand, make sure get some for when these break. Again, not the reason I acquired this set.Like I said, the stand is the worst, the cross pole is not bad for trying out a different style background pole or if you are a beginner. Just know there are far better stands out there for an affordable price. At $29.99 though, it's hard to say that this set is not worth the value because it's dirt cheap.
