EMOON Notes
- The hour and minute hands had a protective plastic coating that needs to be carefully removed.
- Be careful not to bend the hands with too much pressure.
- Please do not use Alkaline battery, rechargeable battery, or they will damage the movement.
- Do not tighten the brass hex nut too tight
- Press hard to get all clock hands in place
- Check if all hands are aligned

I ordered this as a replacement for an older clock that just gave up over time. This as a perfect match, and I was able to reuse the clock hands that were on the original clock. Works great so far!

I made a couple of LED backlit clocks for my kids recently. This 2-pack clock kit worked out great. Installation and assembly are straightforward. Although cheap, both mechanisms seem well constructed and keep accurate time. The best feature is the sweeping second hand - zero noise! The multiple hand styles are a nice addition and should complement most designs. The short shaft model was long enough for 1/8" project board. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

I do a lot of tinkering and 3D printing projects. Some time ago, I bought a clock movement like these and 3D printed a clock. I gave it to my sister, and it eventually wound up in the garbage....So, I got this two pack, since I've been kicking a few ideas around for both wall hanging clocks and desktop clocks.I've got one of these clock movements installed on a wall design and I have a 3D printer building a desktop design for the second movement as I write this.I've tested both movements and they work fine for the intended purpose, which is a simple assembly to provide movement for a clock that you've built. They're powered by a AA battery and seem accurate enough. I'm sure they'll drift as time goes on, but again, for the purpose they're built for, it's good enough.I have one pointed gripe about the design of these movements as hinted by the review title that may or may not be a concern to others.The clock movements I've used in the past have a pocketed hole or a triangular hole on their backs for hanging the movement on a nail or screw. These movements don't have that. Instead, they come with thin metal brackets. One end is rounded with a hole that fits on a boss on the movements' front. The other end is triangular with a triangular hole that provides the means to hang on a nail or screw.My gripe is now I have to try and keep that bracket centered in relation to my clock design as I fasten my design to the movement so the clock hangs properly. That is, 12 o' clock is at the top, 6 o' clock is the bottom, and so on. The bracket will turn as I tighten down the fastening nut, so I constantly had to reposition the bracket when I installed the first movement to my wall design. This is a lot easier to manage if the hanging hole is in the back of the unit, rather than an external bracket!I'm eager to try my desktop clock design; I designed it so the clock movement will be fixed in place and I won't have to worry about misalignment but I'm digressing here.Again, for the price and intent of these movements, they're fine for a fun little DIY project or two. Should I require more clock movements in the future however, I will be buying some that don't have a hanging bracket like these ones do!

Bought these when my older clock's mechanism broke when I was changing the battery. I never realized how many times I looked at that clock until it didn't work - I had to take it down from the wall! Which really just annoyed me more. I got these for the affordable price, the selection of hands, and fast shipping of course. My old mechanics didn't have a second hand, so I'm really pleased for that option. It runs really smoothly, looks great. Was so easy to install, and since there are 2 in the box I can now make another clock or save it as a back up!

Perfect fit. I had to replace a broken battery compartment and clock hands. The price was great. The kit came with 2 sets of hands and were perfect. Quick turn around and delivery. I can now tell time again. Will use them again!

Let me preface by saying I would have given 5 stars, but after installing the hands my wife changed her mind and wanted the “other†hands. Well, once installed, removal was impossible without damaging the hands and motor mechanism. So one set of hands was ruined along with one of the motors (well, the shaft). 2nd attempt went well and it’s functioning properly with the proper hands going around.If the first set of hands could have been removed without ruining the 1st unit, like I said, I would have given 5 stars. As it is, one motor is now in use and the other has been tossed out. (Good thing I ordered a TWO pack!)——-4/20/24 - 2 weeks in and 2nd motor has now stopped working properly. Had to downgrade rating. New battery in it. Second hand spinning around properly but hour & minute hands are WAY off. Looks like second motor worked for a short time and crapped out also.Cannot recommend as will now go to Hob Lob or Wally World and pay more for one that works (hopefully).

The guts on my Heinz 57 pickle clock broke, so I wanted to resurrect it and found this clock kit on Amazon. The signature feature of the original clock was its red second hand. Unfortunately, the brass fitting on the second hand in the kit was too small to fit over the shaft on the clock stem. So I had to transplant the fitting from one of the other two second hands included in the kit. A delicate operation but ultimately successful. Look, for $10 I wasn't expecting the moon and the stars, but this was a bit more effort than I wanted to expend. Result overall is nice. We'll see how long it lasts.

Easy to assemble and a great assortment of hands. I like a red seconds hand so it was nice to have the choice of swapping out the black second hand in the set I used with the red one from another set of hands. Quiet operation but I cannot comment on the accuracy of the movement as I just put this clock together yesterday. I'm not expecting it to be very accurate as most cheap mechanisms gain or loose time after several days. Hopefully it is better than I expect in that department. ;-)
