We finally had to use these bags unfortunately they rip with 15 pounds of sand in them. Absolutely no good and by the time we had to use them we were in the middle of a huge storm. Thanks for putting us in a situation where we have no sand bags now.

Received these sand bags a few days ago. When I first got them I thought they were too big. I tried one bag and the size was actually perfect and the same as the sand bags I got from the ones distributed by the city. The quality of the material was also similar to the ones I got for free (with the sand) from the fire department in my city.Pluses:1. The bags were stitched only on the bottom side and the stitching looked very strong2. The sides of the bag looked like they were sealed/glued which I though was also a big plus3. There seemed to be a layer of heavy clear plastic which will prevent sand from leakingMInus:1. The bags did NOT come with tie strings or wire. Most of the other bags I saw had tie strings sewed into the top portion of the bag. I ended up making my own ties with wire.All in all, I am satisfied with my purchase.

I have those bags outside filled since I received them. It seems they will not last as I have seen already some cracks in the bags due to the outside elements.

Do not buy these bags. Within 3 months, these bags were tearing or in some cases disintegrating. I only use them to keep my grill cover from blowing off and patio furniture from sliding off the patio, when we occasionally get heavy storms and wind. I can only imagine the disappointment people must feel when they actually used these in flood zones. I tried contacting the company through Amazon, and never got a response. I have to assume this is a bad product versus a bad batch, or they would stand by their product.
