The pictures are very clear. The articulating camera can look backwards, which is a great feature. The battery has a long standby life. It uses little power, so my phone’s battery lasts. Whether checking HVAC ducts or appliances, I don’t need to worry about charging during a task.

Absolutely worth each penny paid!The app might be a bit better designed, but for the money you pay it is more than acceptable. Happy I found this borescope!

First, I’ll say the camera quality impressed me. It must have some kind of auto focus because it will focus based on distance. If the item is not close, the overall image does look grainy, but up close, it seems to have a better quality/resolution. The light also adjusts well. At first the image will have a white glow, and then it will auto adjust so the white glow goes away and you can see the object.You do have to download an app to use this camera. Luckily you do not need to sign up or have internet access to be able to use it. So, I don’t think it does any kind of data harvesting. The app is called “Usee Plus†if you want to research it first. It is very easy to use and is much like most camera apps where you can take pictures or a video and saves it to your picture gallery.The camera holder is wide enough to accommodate my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with a case. The wheel/knob to articulate was easy enough to use with one hand. Since you have to connect to your phone, it would have been nice if they had a trigger or button to take pictures instead of having to do it on the phone. There’s a wheel that is used to adjust the brightness and turn off the light. There’s some kind of rotating knob at the bottom that you can turn to the left and to the right, but not in a full circle. I have no idea what this does. It does not change the direction or angle of the articulation. It does not change how much it articulates left or right. It is possible that it rotates the camera view, but by the time I tested that, my articulation wheel broke and so I don’t know if that’s the reason it did nothing or it simply does nothing.Now the bad. To use the articulation wheel, you have to make sure the whole cable is straight and not bent. It does not articulate well or at all, if the cable is not straightened out. This makes it hard to use articulation when you have the cable bent to fit a hole that is not straight. I was testing how well it articulates to see if does do the 210-degree bend. Mine did not. It at most did a little over 180 degrees both sides. At one point, one side was not bending to the 180 degrees and so I twisted the knob a bit more, and that’s when it broke. I heard a click and now the wheel does not engage the articulation at all. Mind you, not a lot of force and I would not have expected to break this easily.The other issue is that the camera view is hard to get upright. You have to make sure you have the camera right side up and hold it in place otherwise it is easy to get the image inverted or tilted. This probably just takes practice and getting use to using it.I am just disappointed that with an expensive device, one of the main features of it broke so easily. I can still use the camera, just not in all use case scenarios.

The 1920P HD resolution provides crystal-clear images, which are crucial for detailed inspections. Whether I'm checking for blockages in pipes, examining engine components, or inspecting wiring in tight spaces, the image quality is consistently impressive. The adjustable LED lights are bright and effective, ensuring excellent visibility even in dark environments. I deducted a star because it feels fragile, but it may be just me.

I love this head control camera , very useful for my work especially when I running wire inside the finished wall , save me a lot of time and work

This borescope meets my needs. The setup is straightforward. Download the app, start it, plug the borescope into the phone (I’m using Android), and you’re good to go. The steerable head greatly adds to the functionality and has been missing on other, cheaper models I’ve tried in the past.I’m happy with the usability of the borescope. The fiber optic cable is stiff enough to help getting itself in tight places. The brightness control helps mitigate glare. The image generated can be rotated to match whatever orientation the user finds useful. The resolution is high enough to see what you want to see and you have the option of 1.5x and 2x magnification through the software. (The literature claims 3x magnification is available but I couldn’t get that option.) The only limitation some folks might find is that the fiber optic cable is about 6 feet (maybe 2 meters). I couldn’t find that measurement in the product write-up. For me, a useful piece of equipment.
