The Enforcer II TM1000 tint meter works great so far. It comes with two different tinted test samples so that you can verify the accuracy of the tint meter. My unit measured the VLT at exactly what was printed on each test sample. The unit turns on and off automatically when testing. This meter very accurately measured the Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of the tint on my door windows.This unit is only appropriate for testing the tint of doors with windows that can roll down as the unit needs to be able to slide over the top of the glass. This unit cannot test your windshield or your rear window. If you need a tint meter which can test any window type (including windshields and rear windows) then you should buy the Laser Labs Inspector II TM2000 Window Tint Meter.I bought this tint meter to verify the VLT of some tint that I had installed. I had my car inspected recently and the tint meter they used read my front door windows at 9% VLT. In my state the front door windows cannot be below 25% VLT. I went online and bought the Laser Labs Tint Meter Enforcer II TM1000 to verify the VLT of my tint.Always clean the inside and outside of your windows prior to testing the VLT with any tint meter. It turns out that my windows were dirty during the car inspection and this effectively lowered the VLT. When I cleaned my windows and tested my tint myself with the Enforcer II TM1000 I got exactly the reading that I was expecting. I bought 28% VLT tint for the front doors and 20% for the rear doors. The Enforcer II TM1000 read my tint as 29% in the front and 20% in the back.The Laser Labs Tint Meter Enforcer II TM1000 has an accuracy of plus or minus 2% and is not affected by humidity. It can read from 0% VLT to 100% VLT. Its range of operational temperatures is 0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not affected by ambient light. It takes one lithium CR2032, 3V battery (included). The dimensions of the unit itself are 3.75 x 1.75 x 1.00 in. (95 x 45 x 22mm).

This tint percentage reader was able to check my tint percent with very close accuracy, this model specifically is used within some law enforcement departments which is a good sign for the quality and accuracy of the product itself.When using it make sure you are working with a window that is clean, and not too thick for the meter to slide over. This has several applications for your vehicle, be it you’re checking your windows to make sure they are at a legal level of percentage within your state or if you install tint on your own or for a company to verify that the tint bought is the correct percentage it was sold as.One thing I would like to add though is although this meter works well, the price is a lot for someone who is only going to use it a couple times for personal purposes or for friends, so make sure if you do buy it you will get your moneys worth out of it.

Works just as well if not better than the first Enforcer and is a quarter the size! Only downside is the batteries are button cells and you must unscrew the unit and open it up to replace them. I have been using it a few weeks on factory batteries and Amazon sells batteries for much cheaper than stores like Best Buy or Radio Shack. The case is soft yet very rigid and protects the meter very well. It doesn't take up much room in my already stuffed duty bag. Accuracy is on point, not as jumpy as the older model. I love that I can slip it in a pocket due to it's compact size so both my hands are free as I approach a vehicle. This makes it a safer alternative to the old bulky ones. Well worth the price and great rock solid probable cause to stop a vehicle. Already proved it's worth to me.
