Warm Tips

  • If you are using this adapter on a vehicle that doesn’t have an oil temperature sensor or has the sensor mounted elsewhere, then you should plug the oil temperature sensor port with the M12 plug and crush washer.
  • If you are not using this adapter to supply oil to a turbocharger, supercharger or other application then you should plug the 1/8” NPT port with a fitting.
  • The oil temperature sensor port plug can be used to add an oil temperature sensor to vehicles that don’t already have an oil temperature sensor and gauge.
  • The temperature reading at this location will be the engine out (pre-oil cooler) temperature.
  • The oil cooler adapter is after the factory pan mounted oil filter in the production oil circuit so oil going out to the oil cooler is filtered oil.
  • You can NOT plug the -10 oil lines on this adapter and run the engine. This adapter does NOT have an internal bypass passage inside of it.
  • You must connect the -10 lines to an oil cooler or loop the lines back to the other port on the adapter or your engine will not have proper oil pressure and will be damaged.

Leaks where the fitting seats into the housing even when properly installed. Buy higher quality that this one.

Bought this on a whim because I didn’t want to spend $140 on the earls adapter. Installed nicely with no leaks had to use some pipe tape just for extra insurance.

It leaks oil daily even with the engine not on. I'd recommend getting a different gasket and using some sealant on the threads

Used this to install an oil cooler and a 3 quart oil accumulator to my LS1 swapped 260z. No issues and works as intended.

As others have stated in their reviews, make certain to thoroughly clean out the adapter, and seal up the smaller plugs with an oil resistant gasket maker. I had some smaller fillings inside the item which came out easily with a pipe cleaner/compressed air, and the small plugs (where the sensors can go) will leak if you do not seal them with some gasket maker. ALSO be aware that you will need to delete the stock block heater if it is installed above your oil filter. The lines and fittings needed to install this will not fit around the block heater.
