Uses 6 holes for an ls. More than sturdy enough to hold though. Engine in pic is an lq9/6.0 block

Not sure what the issues were with the bad reviews but mine worked great, came with all the items that were advertised and made life very easy mounting an engine to it. Will probably buy a second for my other engine stand

I just happened to come across this on Amazon and instantly knew that this would be so much easier then those horrible spider legs that are on every engine stand. My small black Chevy bolted on easy and feels much more secure. If you’re thinking about it, the answer is yes.

This thing works great on my oemtools engine stand bolted up to my 5.3 LS. Glad i gave it a try.

Feels much sturdier than the stand offs that come with the engine stands. Would be nice to have somewhere to keep the bolts that you aren't using. This definitely made me much more confident that my engine wouldn't end up on the floor.- This did not fit correctly on one of my older engine stands (the slots were just a bit short), only 3 bolts lined up, but it was still plenty good enough to rebuild a aluminum block 6.2

I love this plate, you remove the individual moveable fingers from the head of the engine stand and bolt this in its place. It has holes drilled to fit the small block Chevy so there is no more messing with the individual fingers trying to get the block attached. It’s a real time and frustration saver. The quality is really good and everything fits as it should.I highly recommend it. I have 2 of them for both my engine stands.

Tried on 2 different engine stands. 1 brand new Big Red 1500lb and 1 older Pittsburg 1000lb as it fit neither perfect. Also bolts supplied with the plate didn’t fit the Big Red but fit the Pittsburg. Going to modify it to fit the Pittsburg since it had the weaker engine arms on it and the Big Red plate will need more modifying to fit the spacers due to it being bigger. Last picture is with a 469 bbc on it as definitely strong enough to hold a dressed bbc but needs a better engineering design
