Choosing a smart toilet is difficult, because even within the same company, the various models can be so similar in specifications and appearance. After much study, and eventually in consultation with Lee from Eplo, I chose the DP7 Pro. I didn't want to wish I had the tank after the fact, because my water pressure isn't always great. Consequently, I have had zero issues with flushing or other functions.Delivery was quick, and the toilet was in perfect condition. Installation is straightforward, in theory, but individual circumstances may vary. For me, I had two challenges: the weight and the location of my water inlet. I could not negotiate the weight, targeting the mounting brackets and wax ring by myself or even with an assistant. I literally needed three people due to the limited space. Once placed, the rest was relatively easy. In my particular case, the location of the water inlet was too close to the toilet, no matter what I tried (e.g. short, 90° anglestops, etc). I ended up having to mount/direct the inlet valve inside the toilet's rear open cavity. This is advised against by the manufacturer, but I had no choice. I can still access the shutoff valve, but it certainly wouldn't be easy or obvious to anyone else. Once this issue was overcome, it was on to the toilet itself.Everything worked perfectly, and as it should. The toilet washes itself very well 99% of the time, and the heated seat, lighted bowl and other features are all effective and well thought out. I did have to contact Lee with some minor functionality questions, but he was extremely responsive, knowlegeable and helpful. Here's a tip: although the auto-seat open/close is attractive, it's only viable if you have a true water closet, or your toilet is located physically apart from the rest of the bathroom, otherwise due to its sensitivity, you'll trigger it every time you walk past. The auto-open/close can be deactivated, which I reluctantly did. So, if your situation is like mine, you might skip this feature and save some money.I can recommend this model highly. Everything works well, and it has every feature you could want. I have zero regrets in chosing this Eplo model. I have some unfounded worry for how long everything will continue to work perfectly and what would happen if a component should fail, but Lee assured me that this model has been "battle-tested" overseas since 2022, and is solid and reliable. I am hopeful that this proves to be the case with mine as well.

I have no complaints. This is very well designed toilet with almost every feature anyone could need/want. It is a tankless design, so you do need to have reasonable water pressure at the toilet (nothing special, but if less than standard, it may not flush well enough) and a GFI 110V outlet within 3 ft of the back of the toilet. The only feature that is “missing†is a seat that automatically lifts and closes with a sensor. Personally, this was not important to me, and it is available in the more expensive model. After a month, I am very pleased with it and all of the included features. I live in Hawaii, so the heated seat is not particularly important for me, but it works very well. The bidet front/back (pressure, water temp and direction adjustments), blow dryer with 3 strength and heat settings, and night light all work very well. The remote control has a wall mount for convenient access and storage. The basic wash and flush controls are also available directly on the toilet. For a high quality and no compromise design, it stacks up very well against even significantly more expensive competitors.

If you're on the fence about going to either a bidet or a smart toilet then this is the best I have found for a blend of functionality and price. We have used bidet seats for years now to reduce our use of toilet paper, to be cleaner, and to help reduce the chances of certain types of cancers, but the difference between this and just a seat attachment is like the difference between a 1970's Ford Pinto and a Tesla.Install was manageable for me but a 2nd person would be beneficial as it is heavy and awkward. The only other install issue to be aware of is that the back is quite wide at 13 inches, I had to relocate my water supply by 2 inches. The functionality is really good. The water stream has adjustments for alignment, pressure, and temp that cover the needs of most people. The toilet is self cleaning and the tankless operation seems to be powerful enough to avoid clogs or other issues with stuff just not going down, the flushing mechanism just works. It's comfortable and the seat heater also has a nice range of temps. The blower (also with a nice range of air speeds and temps) works as well as it can but just the physics of the operation may not allow you to come away completely dry and a few squares of tp may be needed if that is your goal. Finally it's design is athletically pleasing and it would fit well into just about any bathroom design. The night light and other sensors are well thought out and the operation is logical, even the prefill of water when you sit down is well thought out. The remote is well designed and laid out. The luxury and tech of it kind of reminds me of a certain South Park episode.I really can't think of a better overall toilet package for under $1000. Service life is my only concern as it appears well built but only time will tell if it can hold up to long term use or if an electronic gremlin will appear at some point.
