I bought a new treadmill and was really bummed that it kept shocking me. It was happening about once every couple minutes! At first I thought it was an issue with the treadmill but after researching I learned this is quite common due to the charge you accumulate while running on the deck.I found some things folks recommended, but I wasn't fond of strapping my wrist to the frame or dousing myself and the machine in fabric softener so I rolled the dice on this very affordable product. I was quite skeptical regarding it's effectiveness, comfort and durability.I'm so pleased to report that this thing is much higher quality than I had expected. Time will tell, but it feels quite sturdy. Seriously, even if it only lasts a couple months, it's a bargain. Comfort-wise, I can't even feel it on my foot! I run with high stack height, max cushion running shoes and while the heels are quite large, the thing strapped right over my shoe.Most importantly, it works! I went from constant shocks to absolutely zero! I just have it on one foot, by the way.I don't write many reviews but I hope that other people with the same issue I was experiencing will find this product. I'm just so thrilled it actually works and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I love the idea of this product and I haven't gotten shocked -not once! So they work for that...But the overall fit is not perfected and they are somewhat bulky and wide. I wear a womans 9 size clog. If I put the strap at the back of my shoe, there was too much slack -a finger's worth and because of that the bottom part did not fit on the heal properly. Maybe better for boots.

I bought two, and I use them while using my treadmill. I was constantly getting shocked by the machine, that I was actually avoiding using it. That was because it had a "grounding" feature or so it said. Anyways, I decided to try this and see if it helped.What a major difference! The first few minutes, I was wary and constantly checking if it was going to shock me. After a few days, I no longer worry. Totally worth it. I now use my treadmill more, which is an even extra plus.The only thing to keep in mind is that it may be a bit uncomfortable if you are extra sensitive. You have to wear the strip inside your shoe, so there are times you may feel it. It's not too bad. But compared to being shocked every other minute, this is totally worth the sacrifice.

I still get minor shocks occasionally, but our house is so dry this winter it can't be helped. I have to wear shoes around the house and these straps seem to reduce static electricity. They stay on my sneakers and the piece that goes inside the shoe doesn't bother me at all.

Nice idea, but does not conduct. The cloth piece that goes inside the shoes conducts, but the outer thick black strip that goes on the outside on the shoe does not. I used a grounding tester and it failed the test. Maybe I just received a faulty one though...I like that it's an inexpensive option for grounding, but make sure you do a test when you get it first before wearing it, so you can return it if it does not actually work.

I have a pair of rubber foam shoes and I would get shocked everywhere! I could feel it build up in my body while I walk!This product comes with one side only - and I thought that was weird - that wouldn't work. But nope, works completely fine - no more shocks!I cut the inner strap to length and goes between the shoe and my socks (or barefoot)!

This seems to work - I haven't gotten a shock since I've been wearing it. It's easy to use and effective. I gave it 4 stars simply because I have to remember to remove it before I go outside (I wish I could find a wrist band that works but none have been as effective as this product.) The inconvenience of having to remove it and then put it back on is the only flaw. Otherwise, I'm glad I bought it, and it's so nice to get through a day without static!
