Baby Monitor E21

Merchant Video
  • For first use, update the firmware to the latest version:

-Camera: Connect to the eufy Baby app, then go to Me > My Devices > Settings > About Device > Firmware Update.

-Monitor: On the screen, go to Monitor Settings > About Device > Firmware Update.

  • The camera works great whether plugged in or running on its 5,000mAh built-in battery, ensuring seamless use during trips or power outages. When using battery power, you can expect about 9 hours of use and around 5.5 hours with night vision.

  • The camera features cry detection, loud noise detection, and temperature monitoring. You can adjust the sensitivity for cry and noise detection with five different levels and set the push notification intervals to avoid frequent disturbances.

  • The Wi-Fi switch is there to protect your privacy and security. When it's turned on, the camera connects to your router, letting you view the livestream on the app. If you turn it off, the camera will only connect to the monitor.

  • Smart Connect is enabled by default. When the camera's Wi-Fi switch is on and it's connected to Wi-Fi, your device automatically switches between Wi-Fi and local connection for optimal streaming. To disable it, turn off the camera's Wi-Fi.

PROS:

1.) Active noise reduction

2.) Alternates the sound every 5 seconds between the two cameras and you can see both babies at the same time

3.) If the power goes out the camera has a built in rechargeable battery, so you can still see baby 4.) 24/7 recording (for this feature I believe you have to have a c10 micro SD card (max 128gb) installed into the camera. I have ordered a sandisk extreme C10 128gb for my camera)

5.) Comes with a crib mount

6.) Sound alerts to our phones

, option to use critical alert option so it bypasses silent and DND modes on your iphone7.) 4K HD

8.) Camera has a built in battery, if power goes out you can still see baby

9.) night vision10.) Cameras LED light auto turns off in the dark

11.) Works with wifi and non wifi, so no problem if power goes out & since camera has built in battery

12.) 2 cameras and monitor bundle on Amazon is currently $359.

13.) User manual states you can connect up to 4 cameras to this monitor as well, however I’m not sure how many the split screen option shows at once.

14.) App access to view cameras from phone

CONS of Eufy E21:

1.) From the reviews, it appears they are working out some kinks with the sound and other reported glitches

2.) Users have noted that the monitor doesn't play an active noise/alarm when monitor is dying or when/if camera disconnects, so you could possibly sleep through not being able to see or hear babies through the night without that alarm feature.

3.) Users have noted when you switch the wifi off, it doesn’t actually disconnect. Users have noted that Eufy support has said they are working on an update to this as well.

4.) I do not believe there is a floor stand.

Not sure if pro or con of Eufy E21:

1.) User stated as a pro, but I see it as a con, monitor unit does not have a kickstand. However, it does have a charging base for it to sit upright on.I am also not sure if the Eufy requires a monthly subscription to use the app. I will provide updates when I receive the unit (set to arrive tomorrow) and begin playing with the app and setup.UPDATES AFTER INSTALL USING FOR 2 WEEKS:Monitor does not need a kickstand as it has a large base to support itself.Night vision appears as good as my infant optics.Active noise reduction isn’t great. My infant optics completely erases the sound of the noise machine, and I can hear baby clear as day. However, with Eufy, I can’t really hear the baby over the noise machine. I only really know he’s making noise when the app alerts me.The camera records noise alerts, so you know what baby was crying about. Love that!No subscription seems to be needed.I have not had any camera disconnection issues.

The 4K camera and build quality was great but two way talk using monitor's microphone doesn't work (probably a defective monitor). 24x7 video recording playback never worked even after 4 days of usage, storage shows 24gb utilized of 128gb.Note: I have updated the firmware of camera and monitor but the issue still persists, hope this helps.-----Latest update: Eufy customer service team was able to help me fix the issues and I now see the above two issues resolved and now the baby monitor works great.

I really wanted to like this monitor, the app was flawless. It truly was 4K on the app. The monitor itself is really nice. The camera is really nice. The problem is the monitor struggles with signal/ WiFi connection that it promises when the local connection is poor. I only got one bar or lost connection or maybe 2 bars of connection in my living room, which is only 25 feet away from the actual camera . I have tried Babysense, VAVA, Vtech, Nannit and now Eufy. So I have tried my fair share of monitors. This one is the only one that couldn’t connect from 25/30 feet away. If they could figure out how to make the monitor connect from further away. This would be a flawless design. I hate to send it back because I truly love the camera not needing to be plugged in if you travel somewhere. Which we do. But I will have to go back to my Babysense camera, it connects truly from hundreds of feet away. I don’t know why this gets 4/5 star from all the other reviews. I can’t be the only one struggling. Especially since Eufy even sent me a replacement monitor and that one didn’t work either. So be warned that you may not get connection from the local parent unit. The phone app is wonderful but not all parents want to use their phone 24/7 because the monitor struggles.

The mount is complete crap but don’t let that stop you. The camera itself is fantastic and has everything you need. Absolutely crystal clear, even in low light. Base control is easy to grab and go. App is good if you want it. If you don’t, simply turn the WiFi off on the back of the camera.Just be sure to buy a different mount. The one that’s included really is about useless.

We have all the other Eufy cameras outside and they have excellent picture quality, motion detection & sound quality. We bought this baby monitor expecting the same result and sadly, no motion detection. They missed the mark here and it makes zero sense! So if you have a kid with seizures like ours that doesn’t make a sound, or that elopes or climbs out of their bed without making a sound/ this is NOT the Eufy for you. We cannot believe they made a baby monitor with every feature except that one. If your kid doesn’t cry, or maybe silently pukes or chokes…. Don’t get this one. Returning disappointed. Especially for the price point.

I am truly impressed with the video quality of the Eufy Baby Monitor E21. It’s a must-have for parents seeking peace of mind, especially when in another room away from the baby. The clarity and reliability of the monitor make it easy to keep an eye on your little one without any worries. One of its biggest advantages is that it runs in hybrid mode, meaning it works even without an internet connection—perfect for travel! The included monitor is incredibly handy, featuring a charging dock for convenience. Plus, the crib stand adds extra flexibility. While the camera doesn’t notify you when the battery runs out, this can easily be resolved by keeping it plugged into power. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and a great investment for any parent!

It’s a great camera with some very nice options and very good overall quality, BUT IT LACKS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FEATURES:1- It only gives you a written warning on the screen if the camera is disconnected with no audio alert. If the camera disconnects while you are asleep you would never know. Same thing applies if you don’t have your eyes on the monitor at all times, especially in night mode.2- Max volume is very very low, you can barely hear anything from the monitor, the only way you’re waking up in the middle of the night is from a crying notification from your phone.3- They market the camera battery to last 12 hours, but when I called customer support they said it only lasts 5.5 hours in night mode. This camera is not safe, especially in noisy places or if you’re not a super light sleeper.

This review is for the eufy Baby Monitor.  The first thing I really liked is the quality of the video.  I was surprised at how clear the video is and that you can see small details when you zoom in.  I also liked the pan and tilt functions and how smoothly they work.  Another thing I liked was how clear the sound is; I wasn't expecting that.I found this easy to set up and use.  I'm using this strictly when I'm at home to monitor my dogs.  We're dealing with behavioral issues, and having the monitor with me has allowed me to verify which of our dogs is the "culprit."  The monitor itself is lightweight, easy to use, and so far durable (I dropped it twice so far with no damage).  This comes with a number of functions, including alert and sleep mode. You can also use this when out of the house by installing their app.  I am not using the app but did confirm that I could download and use it.  FYI, I could not download the app on my husband's old phone, but I could on my newer phone.  For those wanting to use in a stationary position in a higher location, you can hang this up.  Overall, this seems well-made, and I rate it a 4.5 out of 5.

Overall, it’s a decent camera. Disclaimer - I’m a FTM and haven’t had another camera before, but have used other cameras while watching nieces/nephews.Pros:- the camera clarity is way better than any other that I’ve used (albeit for a short time)- I haven’t had any issues with the range of the non-wifi setting. This is the reason I bought it - for the flexibility of having both options, but I do hear other people have issues with the range of the non-wifi.-the camera angle is great and being able to swivel and zoom is excellent- the charging dock is key and so much easier than plugging / unplugging each time- the battery backup - another reason why I chose this as we often go to cabins that have power outages.Cons:- I don’t think the camera clarity is actually 8x, I think the E20 4x is probably the same- the gooseneck mount is useless - the camera is heavy and the gooseneck sagged in the first night. The screw attachment for it also requires like a tight-lock solution as the camera swivelled loose, causing the gooseneck to drop. I don’t trust this attachment to not fall on my baby in the crib. I ended up buying an aftermarket floor mount.Overall, if you don’t need the docking station, go with the E20 and save some money for an after market floor or crib mount. I decided the docking station was worth keeping the E21, but if I hadn’t bought it on sale I would likely have returned it.
