My cat is 20-lbs and 12-yrs young, who was an oops at a Cattery in Maine. He’s a Maine Coon & RagDoll mix, which accounts for his extra large size. He got an infection from a large dog bite. He’s on topical & oral antibiotics. I bought this particular neck collar pillow because of the wide collar like Velcro closure and width to ensure he would not be able to reach the areas on his back and ears, as the topical antibiotic is poisonous if ingested. I purchased size LARGE, according to the chart & it has exceeded my expectations. He actually loves wearing it & it makes him look like he’s ready to go swimming in style. The wide Velcro collar is very secure, adjustable, and comfortable. The fabric is water resistant, so it is easy to keep clean.

My kitty had was neutered and he hated the plastic cone they sent him home with. He got out of it before I even took him out of the carrier at home! After he removed it the third time, I ordered this. He's been wearing it since and has not been able to remove it. He did get one leg through it a couple of times and needed to be rescued but he's stopped trying that too. He can move around, eat, and sleep much more comfortably, I think.The collar is soft like a pillow but the surface is kind of slick with a texture so it should be easy to clean it. He's over 6 months old and about 8 pounds so I got the medium and it's perfect. He can't reach his sutures at all. Definitely recommend.

Definitely better than the plastic cone provided by the vet for many reasons, and I love that this one has a wider neck attachment that doesn't need to hook onto a collar or risk injuring him, but I've had to spot clean it once or twice after he got food on it and the fabric is definitely not waterproof. It cleaned pretty easily but the cotton filling got plenty wet and as I don't have a dryer where I live I had to squeeze as much water out as I could with a towel, but it was still a bit damp when I had to put it back on him which he did not appreciate. If the fabric was truly waterproof, or if the cotton filling could be removed to wash the outer fabric lining, this would be pretty much perfect.

At first I feared that the cat collar would not work. The price was not too bad so I gave it a try. It worked perfectly! He can eat, he can drink and it makes a nice little pillow when he wants to go to sleep. It helps take his mind off the fact that he had UTI surgery and to keep him from licking his parts.

I ordered this for my male cat, post cystostomy. This soft collar made a huge difference in his daily comfort level. With the hard cone he was bouncing off walls, he was super stoned for a good week, but with this he would bump into a wall but not be knocked off balance further. The collar bent out of the way naturally for eating and drinking but still kept him from being able to lick his surgery site. While it wasn't water proof it did wipe down easily when he occasionally spit medication back out. The wider strap system for tightening the collar left me less concerned with overtightening compared to the traditional gauze tie on a hard collar. If you know you'll need a collar for an extended time I highly recommend this soft collar.

I love the idea of this but it seemed to be a little heavy for my Chihuahua. The fit was perfect. She didn’t wear it long enough for me to say if it works well enough or not.

No obstruction to vision ,eating, drinking, jumping, doesn't make any irritating sounds like some materials, able to sleep comfortably, less anxiety about having in place, seems calmer about wearing. This muted color rainbow pillow is well made ,light weight, easy to put on without any anxiety for fur baby or human companion caretaker. Well ,you guessed right from my review, My kitty and I love this and very soft material without fuzziness and right amount of foam stuffing.Yep, you betcha I would recommend to everyone who has a fur baby. Oh, yes brilliant idea of soft adjustable collar inside of pillow. OWL

my maine coon does not like anything on him so to see him not resist this donut around his big mane was shocking! he’s so cute with it on that after a few days of having it off since the protection period was over from his dental surgery, we put it back on to see how he’d do and he immediately just registered it as part of his body again (we took it off don’t worry but it’s so cute i can’t help it sometimes!) i can tell it’s very cozy for him and didn’t have to be tight AT ALL to stay on. it could stay as loose as a necklace.

Mi gato tiene dermatitis atópica, por lo que es imprescindible que no se quite el collar mientras está en tratamiento, este collar ha sido el más cómodo, favorecedor y seguro durante este tiempo. Altamente recomendable para un gatito en recuperación.
