I use this spare tire hanger on all my trailers with angle-iron top rails. 👠I make one modification. I drill a hole through the rail and bolt the bottom flange directly to the rail. That modification adds stability and reduce the risk of slippage.

Will not stay tight. It will loosen up when traveling down the road. Had to modify it. Will not be buying front this company again.

Ordered two for utility trailers. Decided to check both packages. First one had opened hardware bag and looks like it was return. All the parts were present and didn't look like it was installed. Tried to put together and found all the washers included were to small and didn't fit the bolts. Thought maybe someone returned wrong size and opened second package which was factory sealed. Found the same problem with the second package. Didn't have any washers on hand that would fit so I decided to use my HSS drill set and drilled out the holes in the washers. It worked but was a pain as there were 10 washers in total. Quality of the rest of this mount seems decent, but not exactly what I was expecting. It will work but seems a little pricey for what you get.

Torque to the max and use thread locker. I have two and both worked loose on the first trip down a dirt road. We didn't lose anything, but it was close. Other than that, they work great on my ATV trailer. Great value and well built.
