I needed this kit to repair a damaged thread in an old carburetor, it fixed it as good as new.

I like that this kit had everything needed to do the job. I used it for the muffler bolts on a Jonsered CS 2152 chainsaw. It was the first time I tried a threaded insert and it worked great. It was a little pricy for what you get but cheaper than bringing the saw in for service.

It makes installation a snap. I even use it to install stainless steel threads in 3d printed plastic parts.

I bought this to make a 10 minute repair on my Husqvarna chainsaw where the muffler bolts to the block. The tap or something is wrong and my bolts won’t thread in. My $500 saw is now ruined because of this product. I want compensation!! We’ve gotten too used to accepting this low level of quality and now companies do not care about customers anymore. I’m screwed. I heat with wood and have no money for a new saw. I’m devastated.

Ordered the 10-32 set to repair a carburetor screw hole that had been stripped. Worked well on the aluminum body of the carb. It comes with good basic instructions if you have never used a helical insert. The only thing you'll need besides this kit are a drill, tap handle, and a tiny allen key to set the depth collar on the helical insert tool.Good set for the money.

I used the kit to repair a stripped out thread on aluminum block. I was able to salvage the situation and assemble what I was working on.

The tools were usable but the inserts were the incorrect diameter. I purchased some inserts from another company and used these tools to install them.

Like another reviewer, I found that the STI tap provided in the kit produced threads that caused a 10-32 screw to bind. I checked and found that it didn't have 32 Threads per Inch. I couldn't figure out the pitch. But, I contacted the EZ-Lok customer service from their website. They apologized for the problem and sent me a replacement tap that was 32 TPI. It worked properly. It was a different brand of tap, so maybe all of their 10-32 kits have the wrong tap. Moral of the story with any of these kits: check the tap pitch against the screw before using it. And, test it on some scrap first. Otherwise, E-Z Lok is a reputable company.
