Installation Guideline:
1. Mount the relay under the hood in a convenient location as to the fan as possible.
Notice: Don't use the teflon tape or thread compoud on the thermostat or adaptor. For proper operation, the thermostat must ground threough the threads to the engine and the engine must be ground.
2. Install thermostat into the head or intake manifold. Route the black wire to thermostat and cut to length. Crimp the red terminal onto the black wire and attach to thermostat.
3. Route and connect the red wire to the fan + terminal or power wire coming from the fan motor printed to electric fan.
4. Mount the circuit breaker provided in a convenient location as close as possible to whichever power source(battery or large terminal on the starter solenoid)you are using for the fan relay.
5. Cut to length and install using a small yellow ring terminal. With another small yellow ring terminal take the remaining red wire and connect the unused post on the circuit breaker to the battery source. This wire is printed to battery / constant hot.
6. Route the brown wire to the ignition switch or the fan switch whichever is more convenient.

I bought this to match the new electric fan I installed on my Hot Rod. I really monitored it the 1st few times I ran the engine and it worked great. The original fan OEM was not up to the task, So with new electric fan and shroud it cools from 190 to 170 in a little over a minute, so I like the switch and it was easy to install. I ran the power wire to the switch and inside to my fuse box 20 minute job with the install of the temperature sensor. good price and it works finger crossed it lasts.

I purchased this kit to resolve an issue on a friend’s 57 Thunderbird. The previous owner installed an electric fan and wired it direct to a basic plastic toggle switch. Full amps going through this cheap switch caused it to get very hot. I purchased this kit and rerouted the switch to operate the relay. Worked perfect and solved the problem. Nice diagram included is included to help wire it up. For the price this kit is a really good value.

The instructions could be a lot more explicit but this is an exceedingly simple relay, so it’s easy to look up better instructions and diagrams elsewhere. Note: it will only work when all the wires are connected properly. Brown wire must be connected to 12v power. Also, there’s only one sensor adapter provided, so be prepared to find whatever is necessary to your purpose.I’m a little concerned that the relay housing is not sealed, so I installed it with a more protective cover, and waterproof shrink seal connectors instead of the basic ones provided. We’ll see how it holds up.

This kit and a 16" electric fan solved a pesky overheating problem we had with our Packard 120 car when idling for extended periods of time. Kit is very easy to install and turns fan on and off at the exact temperatures stated. (185 on 175 off). I was able to screw the sensor directly to a NPT nipple on the water pump. Our beloved Packard 120 is now ready again for the Florida heat. Very pleased with purchase and ease of installation.

I'm very happy with it so far it works very well and keeps my temperature at 175F to 185F. It works very well Jan 25/2024 no problem whatsoever. It keeps my temp at 180F on the highway all the time Electric fun never comes on, on the highway. Ram/2014/5.7/Hemi.
