I was looking for something that would help cut the burr comb on the frames between boxes for harvest or inspections. This worked excellent! I pried the boxes apart the best I could with the hive tool and then ran this cheese wire through a corner that I pried. I wrapped the wire about one time on each handle and slowly pulled it back through the comb in the box. From there I was about to separate the hive boxes with no problem at all. I only used this for one hive this year, so I'm not sure how well it will hold out with multiple hives. It did the trick for me though, and I'll definitely be keeping as a beekeeping tool!

Having researched all wire cutters I ordered this one, specifically to cut aged Dutch cheese with wax coating. The wire simply could not cut the cheese, despite first scoring a channel in the hard outer coating of wax. It quickly snapped. As this happened the very first time I used the wire, I cannot say whether it would work well with other cheeses.

Initially I was pleased with this grater. It is better than the plastic and metal graters and box graters that I have used. I use it to grate an entire block of Parmesan from Costco, producing about 10 cups of grated Parmesan in one session and freezing the grated Parmesan rather than assemble, use, disassemble, wash, dry, store...However the quality of the build is a little worrying. The base and grater are attached with a somewhat flimsy neck that I worry will break. The feed chute has gaps between it and the drums housing. The drum spindle has worn against the opening that it fits through and requires a drop of olive oil to prevent squealing. Also a drop of olive oil to prevent the handle from being really hard to disassemble. I also have granite countertops so I have to find a "smooth" spot to anchor it.Overall it works, but I am not sure how long it will work.

I have had two of these. First one I just loved and it lasted 4 years with no issues, but left it behind and had to get a new one. Same item 4 years apart and after using it could not get the drum out. Tried everything and just no. Husband couldn't remove it either so finally had to break out the tools. That did it but of course destroyed the drum. I am going to try another one. I think this one was just a dud.

A fantastic addition to my kitchen! We use a lot of good quality grated cheese and have tried many different types of graters. Most of them either break or grate my fingers along with the cheese! This item is holding up beautifully and is perfectly safe and easy to use. The suction cup bottom holds it firmly to the counter and grates cheese ( or nuts, etc) beautifully! This is a quality product and worth every penny!

I'm not using this to cut cheese I'm using it to cut sheet cakes. I've had to shorten the wire. This can be done with somebody who works with beads. Jewelry repair people can't do it and watch repair people can't do it. Find someone who works with beads as a hobby. They can cut the wire and put a clamp at the end on the other side of the handle so the wire doesn't come out. It's working well now.

Works well on cheese as intended but I also use it for cakes. Makes for easier cuts with less breakage or crushing.
