I purchased this feeler guage for measuring distances between guitar strings and frets. My only complaint is the oil on the guages. I have to dry each one thoroughly before using so that I don't get any oil on the neck or strings.

El set de galgas esta bien. Vienen engrasada para prevenir oxidacion, pero yo las he lavado por completo para poder usarlas en la calibracion de impresoras 3D, la verdad es que me estan funcionando bien, con el Z-Offset puedes ir cambiando la distancia a la cama segun necesites si tener que tocar la cama.Yo uso la de 0.25 mm para calibrar y la precision es casi absoluta (0.24-0.25, medido con calibre digital), otras galgas mas finas varian un poco mas pero no mas de 0.02-0.03, por el precio estan bien.

The feeler gauge came in a small plastic bag with a lot of cosmoline (for those who are not familiar with the term, it is a wax like petroleum based corrosion inhibor).According to the product description, it is stainless steel. I don't think that it was neccessary to plunge it into this much protective stuff if it was stainless. Anyways..I wiped the protective coat with some degreaser and put it into the plastic bag again for future use.Recently I was checking some flat surface with a precision straight edge and needed the feeler gauge. As I removed it from the plastic bag thingy, it was covered with black / brownish spots all over. I have used some industrial cleaners (Loctite) to remove the spots, unfortunately no success. The only way to remove the spots was to use Sabitori rust erasers, which left unfortunately some sand marks on them.I can not recommend the set at all. Stay away.
