Quiet compared to my previous shredder & a lot of other machines with the capability to shred staples & paperclips. Also the sound is the same no matter what you put in it. It having wheels & an easy pull out waste basket makes it easy to manuv & clean. The size is perfect for at home or work offices, it blends in well and is easy to conceal.

My heavy duty Fellows paper shredder died, after shredding paperwork from 2 families (100 yrs of paperwork.) I decided to replace it with one just for my personal use. This one works great. I rarely shred anything more than 4 pages thick, & only shred for the recommended time. I've learned the less is more philosophy to shredding & avoid anything that can gum up the shredding blades. If you treat it well, Fellows shredders will last for years.

Is plastic so hav to take care not to crack/break. So far so good no complaints. Replaced older model. Miss the separate metal basket but they did make improvements.

Great machine for small office use and powerful enough to finish the job without wasting my time. There really was little time or effort in getting this shredder ready for first use. This one was purchased for my home office, but appears to contain the qualities of other Fellowes equipment I have purchased over the years.

The problem with just about all small personal home shredders is that you have to fit a very heavy motorized shredding top exactly over a flimsy bottom "box" that collects the paper shreds. If the tabs don't perfectly fit for this match, the machine will not work. Well, this machine does the same, and I had a problem with this before I was able to fit the top on properly. The difference is that for the older models, you have to do this EVERY TIME you remove the bottom box that holds the paper shreds in order to dispose of the shreds. With this model, you need to do it JUST ONCE: when you setting up for the first time. The top remains on top because the paper shreds are collected in a pull-out sliding drawer for emptying. And because there is a double wall in the bottom (the outer box plus the inner sliding drawer), the whole bottom is much more stable for the top to fit on it. The larger and more expensive office model have always had this feature but insofar as I can tell, this is the first inexpensive small home model that works with the sliding inner collection drawer. It shreds well and is easily worth its modest price.

This shredder works very well just the perfect size for the office and is not extremely noisy.Great price for the quality.Customer service is also very pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with.Highly recommended!!
