Correction......This DOES fit the 1998 Gmc Jimmy 4x4 Transfercase. Also it only goes on one way in order for all holes to line up.The gasket fits the hub that attaches the transmission to the transfercase the gasket goes on the transfercase side.

Worked perfectly for the transfer case adapter to the transfer case on my 2001 GMC Jimmy SLT 4X4. I thought it was going to be a rubber gasket as the product says rubber but it's only a paper gasket. It only fits on one way so don't worry. You will figure out which way it goes on. The larger tabbed side goes closer to the top side. Just be careful not to rip it trying to line up both parts together. I didn't use any other kind of sealer with the gasket. Just left it as is. I'll update in 2 months to see if it is holding up. It fits on the adapter as in the picture with the 5 hole side.
