I bought this specifically to upgrade the stock bridge on my Squire Precision Bass.It was completely easy to install as a direct replacement. No issues. It feels much more solid than the janky Squire bridge, and it definitely has more mass as well. The fact it is Fender branded is definitely a bonus and a nice touch. My only gripe is that this brand new bridge did not come with any mounting screws. I was forced to reuse the old mounting screws from my Squire bridge. Not a total disappointment, and honestly not even an inconvenience. But it would be nice if Fender included quality new mounting screws along with the new bridge. Nothing "wrong" with the Squire screws, but we all know that Squires use lower quality and cost components to keep prices low, even if it comes down to screws.Including 5 quality mounting screws with the new bridge would not affect the selling price much, if at all. Even if it was the difference of $1 in additional cost, it would be worth it IMO for the peace of mind. We're talking about 5 screws here, Fender. Buy em in bulk, and package 'em with the bridge.I'm still happy with the bridge. Just hope someone from Fender might read this feedback.

Fender makes a nice hi mass bridge. Good quality heavy weight was installed on Fender P Bass. Adjustments were easy and smooth. Bass sounds great with new bridge

This bridge is a quality piece in comparison to the standard bridge for my MIM Jazz Bass. It looks great, is well built, adds sustain and heft to the notes that wasn’t there before. It was a direct fit for my bass; just unscrew the old one, and screw this one in place and you are good to go. It looks good, and sounds good too! This is an awesome, easy upgrade for your ax.

i bought this for a project bass, but ended up using it on my 88 p bass when i finished its spruce up and realized the original bridge had 3 of 4 intonation screws frozen.Wow. I'll. never leave a stock bridge on a Fender bass again... this is so much better than the default I don't even care that it doesn't look "original" or "era appropriate." My setup was a million times easier than with the janky old style bridge. It's too bad this doesn't come in Cosmo Black for my aerodyne jazz... Its bridge is terrible.

Fender High Mass Bridge was easy to install no drilling needed bolted right up to the existing holes on my 2022 Fender Squire Classic Vibe Jazz Bass. The high mass bridge out performs the stock bridge by far!My bass guitar was instantly louder acoustically! It made up for the lesser quality wood used (Poplar) it’s light weight and not as resonant as Bass Wood or Ash but for a low cost bass this was a huge improvement. Will it make an expensive bad sound better?Unable to determine but love the results on my Squire.

I got this for a Mexican player series jazz bass because I researched and knew the holes would line up, they did, no need to drill new holes. So that worked great. I had the bridge and dropped all the saddles to the lowest point before installing. The original bridge, when setup was about 12.5mm from bottom of bridge to string in the saddle. The new one was 11mm ish which was great, they can be lower to get good string action but not higher and you’d have to shim the neck. Everything worked great expect string spacing. The G and D string were too far towards the center of the neck. This was on a jazz bass, one of the most narrow string spacing on a bass you can find and this bridge spacing was TOO narrow?!? I’m glad I wasn’t putting it on a P bass or other wider spaced bass. So my fix was to take some nut files and slot a new saddle groove and it seemed to work fine. But kind of annoying since this is a FENDER bridge and was too narrow for their most narrow bass. Also, the listing says brass saddles... ok they might be, but when I was cutting the new saddle grooves, I saw no yellowish brass under the chrome plating. There was even a sticker on the bottom that said “brassâ€, however I see no physical evidence to support that claim. Who knows. It does look and sound a bit better than the stock bridge but honestly it’s so minor. Luckily I did not have to shim the neck, if I did I would not reccomended this bridge. Also the lack of adjustable string spacing (although I didn’t think I would need it seeing as it’s a FENDER bridge going on a FENDER bass). I didn’t want to use the Kickass hipshot because I’m not a fan of having the saddle as a separate piece inside the bridge, I feel like you would loose vibrational energy. But in the end, I’m still going to use it. It sounds good and I can adjust it low enough for my playing style. Someone needs to make a better alternative for 5 hole Fender replacements, they could make a lot of money.

Best replacement for the under engineered fender standard bridges. The adjustment flexibility as well as the weight

Installed on a Squier p-bass. Solid bridge adds mass and works great. Definitely an upgrade. Drop-in fit.

Just installed it today on a 2018 Squier Precision PJ bass. Perfect match. No additional drilling was required. Just dropped in. Looks outstanding. Not sure about tuning stability yet. Would buy again.

Consigliatissimo.
