TL;DR This is a powerful, simple pool heater. It takes a few days to get to temperature mid-spring but then holds it easily. I never have to touch the settings after setting the temperature on day one. I love this thing and it's gotten me daily use of the pool I couldn't use at all in a cold June last year.A couple of important notes here: I bought this heater oversized for my 8,000 gallon above-ground pool to get more use out of it in upstate NY, where tall trees shade the pool and keep it colder.First: All you need to do is connect it and set the temperature for the water. Otherwise, no need to mess with the settings! It will run when your pump is running and shut off automatically when it's not.Second: If your pool water isn't getting hot it's probably a flow issue. Keep your filter and water returns clean. Low pump flow will make it hard to get enough water through to keep the water warm.

After one year review. I always wait with reviews some time to completely test my purchases. This heater proved to me that it is well build and performing good. On top it is made in US by people who care. I contacted Fibropool company regarding error message with no flow code. After two emails new flow switches arrived!!! My set up may have some involvement with this problem, so I redesigned manifold to keep chlorinator inlet as far as I can of the unit. Usually I manually turned chlorinator of when pump was not running, but small amount of concentrated chlorine probably damaged flow switch anyway. I am using the pool year around in south Florida and with solar cover and heater the water is 85 degrees F all the time between November and March. I am swimming late afternoons or early evening and water is great. I am a contractor and I am definitely offering this product to all my customers.

This heat pump pool heater is the best value that I found after lots of research. My inground pool is between 11 to 13 thousand gallons. I was initially concerned that this Fibro Heater at 55k btu might not be big enough for the job. Boy, was I wrong!! This compact sized heat pump raised the temperature in my pool from 77 degrees F, to 86° F after only 36 hours of pump runtime. I shut it and my pool pump down for 2 days during our last hurricane, but when we restarted everything the pool temp was back up to 86 after about 24 hours. The heater was easy to install and has an automatic set it and forget it operation. It’s only been in for about 2.5 weeks now so it’s still early to know how it will perform over the winter months in my part of Florida. However, if it continues to operate the way it has started out, I expect a no problem year round use of my pool.I’m delighted with this heater and it’s made here in America and will add value to my home and lifestyle going forward. I can easily recommend this Fibro Heat Pump pool heater to anyone who’s pool size and environmental factors fit within the performance parameters that this heater is designed for. I do recommend that you have this unit professionally installed.

I was very skeptical about ordering a pool heater online. But when I did all of my research against different types of heaters (Electrical, Natural Gas, Heat Pump) I kept turning up good comments about this unit. It came delivered by freight company on a wooden pallet. Upon opening the unit I realized I needed an electrician to run the proper connection for the unit as it requires a hard-line and doesn't have a plug. The electricians also commented it would have been nicer if the inlet for the unit was on the opposite side of the water outlets so the cable routing would make sense. Other than that, this is a very quiet unit. Typical air-conditioner level sound. It only took 2 days to get our pool up to 84 degrees and now helps the pool recover from a nightly 10 degree loss in about 3-4 few hours. Twice I've had some weird behavior of the unit after power failures, but rebooting the unit seemed to clear those errors.

I tried to wait till this was resolved before leavining feed back. The unit will not heat 15k gallon pool as the description suggested. I had a technician confirm the unit was defective. One of the sensor wires broke off. I received no troubling assistance from the seller. So i returned the unit. The sell will not cover the return shipmenting cost. If you don't have a freight account with fedex it will be very expensive. It is $2550 dollars to ship it back. Amazon A-to-Z agreed to pay for the return shipment as long as the unit was defective. Which i have in writing from Amazon. I attached the photo of the defective sensor. I submitted the fedex receipt to Amazon A -to -Z and now they are telling me that they won't reimburse me. Total fruad!!! The seller has a fedex freight account which would of been way cheaper to return the item. I did receive the original purchase refund because thebunit was defective but the shipping is $2550, and I now have to fight for the shipping reimbursement. I will be seaking legal action.DO NOT BUY FROM THOS SELLER!!!!!!
