Choosing the Correct Filter Size
Nominal Size vs. Actual Size
The nominal size is a shorthand number rounded to the nearest whole or half inch, normally in a larger font (ex: 16 x 20 x 1). Whereas the actual size is an exact measurement, normally in a smaller font, that depicts the filter's precise dimensions (ex: 15.50 x 19.50 x 0.75). All filters have both.
Measuring Your Air Filter
If your current air filter does not have a dimension listed on the frame, use a tape measure to record the width x length x depth to find the actual size. Then round these measurements up to the nearest inch to find a corresponding nominal size, which will be easier to locate when searching online.

These are great filters that perform perfectly, except for occasionally being slightly damaged when I receive them. The cardboard frame is sometimes deformed or damaged which makes it somewhat difficult to install. Not sure if this is a manufacturing issue or a handling problem.

The filters arrived damaged.I was asked to return at my cost and I didn’t think that was right.Filterbuy asked for photos on two separate occasions.Then told me to destroy them.I said that I didn’t want replacements but the said that they had sent them out.After messages back and forth, they said that I would be refunded.Still waiting to see that happen.
