They filter out odors and contaminants and are free flowing. They work as they should and are a great value. There are so many ways our food and water can be contaminated. These filters can at least give some peace of mind. Long lasting with periodic cleaning.

We made our own burkey system for alot less money. The filters work great and you can taste a difference with the filters. Great peoduct

No issues with fitting in the Royal berkey housing.My only concern is that it filters the water at least 20-30x faster than the original berkey filters. I used the stock filters for 2 years, and they took about an hour to filter 5 gallons. These new filters (I’m using 2) filters 5 gallons in just a few minutes. The berkey filters would drip very slowly, these nearly pour out into the bottom.Water tastes fine, but I also scrubbed, sanitized and replaced the filters.Anyway, for 1/8th of the cost, I’m happy with these.

In fact the water might be worse. I haven’t been able to find the name brand filters for ages and it was way past time to replace my old ones. I got these along with the black carbon filters. The water flows right through both filters like there’s nothing there. How can it filter water that fast? I primed and installed them properly as usual. These are definitely defective. And yeah our water tastes awful. Worse than fom the tap actually. Please heed my warning. These generic filters don’t work!

We put this right into our Berkeley filter and it works great and immediately passed the dye test. No leakage and great value, so much more affordable than Berkey brand products and very easy to install.
