This combination cable gun lock is a much more convenient alternative to using those annoying orange ones that come with your firearm that require a small key. After acquiring a few firearms and wanting to keep them secured, it gets annoying trying to keep track of which little key opens which gun lock, so having a few of these combination ones and not having to worry about keys is a great convenience.

We put this lock around our refridgerator door handles to lock the refridgerator as a way to prevent our teenage kids and their frineds from having access to alcohol inside. It only takes a few seconds to unlock and relock. It has worked well and gives peace of mind. This lock avoids the hassle of hiding and retrieving a key each time I want to access the fridge.

I use this to lock a tool cabinet at work that has my personal tools in it. This lock isn't the toughest, most secure lock you can buy but the cable is a good length to wind through the tool cabinet handles and is enough to keep people from touching my stuff. This isn't the lock you're going to protect your home with, but it's enough to keep prying hands at bay and stays secured where I need it.

Easy to use, steel lock-body feels sturdy. It won't keep someone from stealing your gun, but it's enough to prevent an immediate unauthorized use of your firearm.

I have an autistic child on a special diet, that means when there are certain foods in there that she cannot have I need to lock the fridge. This is the perfect size for that. I no longer need to go to the basement fridge and hide things down there.

Great lock. Excellent way to lock my second gun rack on top of my wall mounted gun rack. Need to order more to safely secure the guns to the second rack.

I like that the combination consists of only three numbers. It’s easy to remember. You don’t need a key. Other similar locks need a key which is easy to lose. This one as long as you remember the combination you will have no problems.

I followed the instructions and they already start wrong. It says 1 -"Set the dials to 000", 2 -Insert the free end of the cable into the lock body.Well there is no free end, the cable is already inside and the combination is already set to 000. So I started with step 3. My guess now, in hindsight, is that what happens in step 3 - press the reset button, has to continue in step 4 but that is not clear and step 4 does not mention the reset button. Step 5 says "Release the reset button".In any case, I cannot get it to open. Not with 000 and not with the new combination I thought I had set. I googled for help on this but nothing there. It is useless and because I bought it more than 1 month ago, I cannot return it.

The Cable Lock is pretty standard, it's well built and it comes with a nylon or rubberized plastic around the metal cable to protect your investment and the vitals on the inside of your chosen gun. It also has a secondary safety feature where you have to depress a small button on the side of the lock to release the cable along side the number combination. It's not much but it gives you the ease of mind that in the event that a young child gets at the firearm. It wraps around my Savage Mark II Bolt Action Rifle two times to use up some of the extra cable so it's not moving around and potentially doing damage while stored or moved around.

Works great and is a great length giving flexibility for pretty much anything. Combo is easy to roll as many of these devices are tough to manipulate the combo wheels.

Wish I purchased a few more for the rest of my rifles. Hopefully they come back in stock soon. Work great and easy to use.
