The fireCable plus adapter is a great product. I have all my TV's mounted and the problem was to find a way to hide the Firestick cable when added to a new TV. I found this by watching a video on how to add more storage to a firestick. Since I watched the video I have purchase 3 of these cable and the work great. I am getting power to the stick and I am able to hide the cable because it just connects to the USB port on the TV and the firestick. I will continue to purchase this product as needed. I even gave one of the cable to my brother.

The Fire Cable works with my “Amazon Fire TV 4K streaming device (newest model)†and Samsung 55-inch Class OLED 4K S90D TV. At first it did NOT work until I utilized the correct USB port.When I first set up the Fire Cable with the Fire TV stick it did NOT work and I received the message that others received that there was not enough power to the Fire TV stick and I need to utilize the included wall cord and plug. “Insufficient USB power detected. Use the included USB cable and Amazon power adapter for proper operationâ€. I did as instructed, plugging the Fire TV stick into the wall and removing the Fire Cable. I then proceeded to set-up the Fire TV stick with all my streaming services, WiFi, etc…I came back to Amazon ready to setup a return of the Fire Cable and purchase the following device “Made for Amazon, USB Power Cable (Eliminates the Need for AC Adapter) at 2.5x the cost. Well, I watched the first video review of this product listing and found out I did NOT need to make a return but rather utilize a different port on the back of my TV. Yippee!https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078KSHVCS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1I watched this video from “JUST A DAD†named “Amazon Fire TV Stick & USB Power Cable Adapter Review†and he explained that the cable purchased to do away with using the cord for the wall plug that you must have a certain amount of Volts (5.0 Volts = 1.0 Amp) for it to function.He explained that on the back of the TV there might be 2 different USB outputs as such 1x USB 5V = 500mA and 1x USB = 1 Amp which my Samsung does have. It appears I originally utilized the 1x USB 5V = 500mA port and this is why my Fire Cable did not function. I then redid the setup by plugging in the Fire Cable USB connector into the other USB port 1x USB 5V = 1 Amp and it worked beautifully.So before you return or discard the Fire Cable or any other adapter you might have purchased you should check to see which USB port you have plugged the Fire Cable into and if enough power is being supplied from the USB port to your Fire TV stick.Please see photo for my setup.Hope that helps some people with the similar situation as I had when I first setup the Fire Cable with my Amazon Fire Stick.

I cannot see it being any better than a regular cable. It does the job and is not defective. I just can’t justify buying this over any other USB cable.

Very convenient as it helps to get rid of the spider webs of wire from behind the TV. Easy to install - literal plug and play. If you have more than one USB ports try both as one did say insufficient power whilst the other no issue. Decent purchase.

I purchased 2 of these cables to eliminate wires hanging below my TVs. I tried on one TV (42") and the USB port did not produce enough current (or cable could not carry enough power) to support my Fire Stick. It wouldn't even turn on. I tried on larger a (60" TV) and it powered up but Fire Stick turned off and rebooted every 5 minutes. I assume insufficient current for streaming. I unplugged this cable and connected back to AC outlet. No more issues. These are a great idea, but it seems even on a newer TV it cannot support enough current to keep a Fire Stick running and streaming. I'll use them to charge smaller devices in my home instead of the intended purpose for which I purchased them.

If you look at the photograph that comes with the ad on Amazon, it shows it being installed only one way that is because the Fire TV only has a Power outlet on the one side and in my case it is too short to reach the USB for the power so I still have to use the transformer. I’m gonna try to return it since it was over $11 but I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to. We’ll see.

El cable llegó bien, pero no me sirvió, se supone que es para el fire stick pero no lo detectó, supuestamente el problema era la TV pero lo probé en varios modelos y marcas y aun asà no funcionó, aclaro que me ofrecieron la devolución pero por falta de tiempo para ir a la Paqueteria decidà quedarme con el, le doy solo 1 estrella porque no fue útil para mi, es solo un cable muy caro.
