My old smoke detectors started going off randomly at all times of the day and night. When I took them down, I realized that they were installed in 2007! Being a responsible adult, I knew I had to just replace them all. This 6 pack covered my whole house. Installation was super easy, a woman with no handy man skills got it done in 30 mins. (Me lol) They are hardwired into my home, test button tells me they’re working. They don’t just go off for no reason at 2 am like my previous detectors, that is the biggest plus! So, now I can feel safe and secure in my home again. And, it’s MUCH quieter.

I replaced 6 of my 22 year-old wired alarms with these new ones. They only required that I change the the old connector pigtails to the supplied ones that came with my new alarms. Wiring was simple. Only 3 wires and they are the same color code as the old connectors. 5 minutes each and done! I feel much better knowing that these work AND they are not that dingy, aged yellow that happens over time with this type plastic.

Good price and replacement was fairly easy for this 75 year old handy man. BUT..............after re-wiring everything, plugging in the new plug into the unit was extremely difficult. Why they make the plug so difficult to plug in is beyond me. A least I got it done and all 6 units are interconnected and working as they should. Damn those plugs..............!!!!!

Easy install and directions are easy to understand. Let it be known that this is a contractor’s package so there is no hardware included. I used the original screws and wire nuts from the units I was replacing.

Replacement for Kidde. My original smoke detectors all failed after 10 years. I learned they expire. These fit existing wiring and brackets. Super easy to toss old expired and replace with new - newer technology. Only too 30 minutes to replace all 8 of my original detectors. The new smoke detector when 1 goes off the all go off. Super cool functionality. Definitely recommend
