Sharp. Bought for pruning. Perfect size. Works well. Same price as boxed stores. Ordered on Amazon saved me from going to box store. Arrived packaged well. Comfortable to use. Perfect for small jobs.

I've seen a few bad reviews for these particular loppers online. Many people have had complaints of them bending or breaking. That is completely not the case in my experience. I've definitely found these to be a five star product. My honey and I bought a homestead this fall. Most of the back of the home was covered in thick alder trees. Beautiful as they were- they also invited bears into our yard without us even being able to see them. The trees had to go. My honey sawed with a power saw and I did the final landscaping with these wonderful loppers.I like to consider myself a strong girl, but I'm probably not as strong as I think I am. My muscles are about average to most women's. So needless to say I can't bust tree branches with a pair of scissors... unless it's this pair of scissors. I was literally amazed how easy these were to use! I went around our yard chopping off small to medium sized branches from trees that were crowding too close to outbuildings. These things cut through branches like butter! Literally- it was as easy as taking a butter knife and cutting butter. I barely had to work (don't tell my honey that though- he still thinks I put some effort into making our yard look nice). They are extendable so I could reach higher branches without a stool or ladder (and on our lumpy ground neither is safe to stand on). Nothing on the handles lock them in place, so sometimes when you're chopping they'll move. This wasn't a huge issue for me- but I could see how for some people it would be frustrating. There are foam coverings on the handles, which makes them very comfortable to use for long periods of time. I've used these multiple times and never gotten blisters (even after a few hours of work). They're sized for fairly small branches. They weren't made to chop down huge trees. Basically for small shrubbery and smaller breeds of trees (alder, willow, fruit trees). I wouldn't recommend them for most hardwoods. They're not extremely tough. They did cut through my alder okay, but I can't imagine them breaking through larger hardwood species. The cutting part is made from a straight edge and a curved edge. This is nice because you can ensure you're cutting the branch you want to cut by wrapping it with the curved edge and then sawing it down with the straight edge. The cuts it leaves are nice. It can cut straight across or at an angle. Kids play in our yard so I tried to leave mostly straight edges instead of diagonal sharp slopes they could fall on. These always did a good job of getting the cut I wanted.Overall I am so happy with these and am disappointed to see them be discontinued by the manufacturer. I loved my pair and would buy them again if I could find them.

I had another version of Fiskars lopper and it worked well. When I saw this on Amazon, I decided to give it a try because of the longer length and the lever action. The first time I used this lopper, I knew I had made a good purchase decision. With its sharp, precision-ground steel blades, you can effortlessly cut through branches up to 1.75" in diameter. I've actually used it to cut branches that were approximately 2" in diameter (not super-easy, but doable). The power-lever mechanism significantly reduces the effort required for smooth, clean cuts every time. Its 28-inch length provides excellent leverage and reach for trimming higher branches without strain. Durable, efficient, and user-friendly, this lopper is a must-have for anyone dedicated to maintaining their yard/garden.

I absolutely hate gardening. Must be that my mom made me help her when I was a kid. Anyhow my husband like trimming and my 11 yo seemed to have gotten the bug this summer. My brother told me to buy nippers, for my husband to use really. Anyhow I was using them yesterday and actually enjoyed cutting up branches and dead flower trees. It was enjoyable. Never thought I'd ever say that, but I love them! The work just as advertised! Anyone who gardens needs them! Super easy to use, sturdy- as all Fiskar product are! I highly recommend them.

This was a GREAT purchase! I am not very strong, but this thing cuts like a hot knife through butter! It's very sturdy and not too heavy. I am so pleased with this purchase! Highly recommend it!

I had purchased their simpler 28" Steel Blade Garden Bypass Lopper and Tree Trimmer from a big box store for $20 and while it required a lot of effort than this does to cut thicker branches, it got the job done.Once the blade dulled after a few months of use, I started to look for replacements as these blades don't last much after being sharpened and this more advanced version (they claimed it would take 2x less effort!) popped up selling for the same $20 as I had paid at the big box store for the simpler version. It arrived quickly and well packaged, and yes, it does require less effort.Half the effort? That's up for debate :)However, it does look like the blades are getting dull quicker and it's damaging itself as I open and close it without a branch in it.My recommendations to anyone using this are:1. Keep this well lubricated not only in storage when not in use but between cutting sessions as well2. Don't open and close this without a branch between the jaws as the bare blades seem to bite into each otherI was able to sharpen the blade of the simpler version but the blade material in this more advanced version seem to be harder to sharpen, so I don't think this can be reused as long as the simpler version but time will tell.Unfortunately, a pair of non-OEM replacement blades cost $20 too.All that said, if you have a lot of branches to cut or this pops up on sale, get this! There's an even more advanced version of this called the PowerGear2 that I'm keeping my eye on - they claim that one has 3x more cutting power! However that's priced at $40 and at that pricepoint I can purchase a battery powered saw or pruner where I have to put in no effort at all.

I had been using an older pair...I didn't realize what I was missing. They were so much easier to use. I was able to cut much thicker limbs than before.

We had a large maple tree branch fall in our backyard. These loppers allowed us to cut 90% of it up, before having to resort to a saw for the remaining largest limb.

Avevo un prodotto più piccolo, per cui corrisponde alle aspettative. Se non fosse per la lama che stecca ogni tanto meriterebbe un maggiore apprezzamento.

As the name suggests, these are powerful, high-quality cutters for trimming branches.
