Picked this kit up to flare the line set on a mini split system after I had shortened them. Took me a couple tries to get the first one right, once I got it though the second line was a piece of cake. My flares didn't look hardly as good as the factory ones but they did the job with no leaks. Glad to have the kit for future projects. It's not a high end kit but for occasional use I'm sure it will hold up just fine.

This kit is a good basic flaring/swaging set. It's not perfect, but it doesn't need to be. If you're just starting out, or just want a back-up in case your expensive set breaks in the middle of a job. I've used mine for flaring and swaging, and it does the job. It's a little fussy getting it lined up just right for a high-pressure refrigeration line, but as long as you take your time it's good to go. I keep this in my work truck, and have loaned it out to some of the other techs when their expensive tools break out on the islands or get dropped into the water while running gas line under a pier. I'd recommend it to anybody who's getting started in the business, or who doesn't need to do a lot of flaring/swaging, but needs to be prepared for the occasions where they do.

It took me a while to install the multi-zone mini split A/C, and I waited with reviews until everything was working. It is done now.Good tools! The supplier was prompt, but sent two sets by mistake. They fixed it promptly, no problem. I liked this set because the surface is hard and polished and because the pieces let me form the flares gradually, instead or ripping the edges like the previous tool did.

You can see the fit is too loose. It is like they didn't have the correct measurements of US tubing. It is built well and would be fine if the size was correct. You can also see the 1/4 clamps way too hard not even screwed down all the way. You end up with severely knurled tube.

I used this for comissioning a mini-split. I bought it because I needed to make a 3/4 flare and that size was not obtainable locally. The tool was easy to learn, performed well, and is affordably priced. I haven't tried the smaller sizes or swagging.

Very good quality, nice price and built to last. I used this to make 3/8 inch flares for a boiler copper oil lines. The tool formed perfect flares with no leaks and very easy to use.

First time using a tool like this and it worked really well. I was rebuilding a vintage camper and needed to flare all the new copper propane lines. For the occasional project, the price can't be beat.

Does not grip the pipe and just pushes the pipe through the hole. Do not recommend this product. Don’t waste your money.

Not very well made the different pipe sizes on the tool the two half for clamping the pipes together don't match up so when you put the pipe into the clamps it warps the pipe.

received the package on time as promised, complete as advertised. The tool was very easy to use and the result is very good. I was able to do my project with ease and with professional result. I think I had a good run for my money with this tool.
