I bought this because have to give my dog a pill every day and she won’t take it unless I grind it up and put it in some cottage cheese. I have a marble mortar and pestle set but my son broke the long pestle grinder, I was going to buy a replacement but the cost for just a pestle was the same as this whole set and this is so sturdy that it won’t break unless you drop it. Love it, Love it.

This is a solid pill crusher bowl, and it's well made too! It crushes pills into powder easily without effort! Even though the inside of the bowl has grooves, getting the crushed pills out of the bowl is effortlessly!

The product is good for grinding. However, the advertisement is not correct that there is a non-skid pad on the bottom. It is just an unpolished finish which would scar the counter surface if used as is.I just cut a piece of non-skid rubber shoe sole that I had and glued it on the bottom of it to act as a protective buffer for the countertop.
