The winder is amazing. Seems very sturdy. All the cakes are the same size (u need to keep tensipn on the yarn to achieve it)! I could wind a larger amount of yarn into a cake. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Worked for my weight 6 bernat mistical yarn! i love working with cakes and making the skein into a cake has made my project easier to work on. i was able to get the whole skein caked in one but i had issues with the yarn falling off if i wasn’t winding quick enough and tight enough and the cake getting stuck which was not a bother to me but something to keep in mind if you don’t want the hassle!

Doesn't work. Tried everything and the balls aren't tight are not stacked. Seller keeps saying ita the tension but I held tight and still falls apart off the rod. Will be buying another style from another seller

I am disappointed. The gearing in the one I received is off. It creates tangled center pull saucers not cakes.-One day after the comments above I decided to see if I could mess with the gearing. I never got to the gears, but somehow it now makes cakes not lopsided saucers so I am upgrading the stars from 1 to 3. The gearing seems really sensitive.

Instructions are clear and set up is super easy. It’s not the most sturdy thing in the world and I did have to adjust the clamp or slow down at points but it easily did the job I needed it for.The most I’ve wound in a single ball is about 300 yards of worsted weight yarn and that was definitely pushing it…so if you have a large skein of yarn to wind you’ll definitely have to break it up but I don’t personally find that to be inconvenient.

Was able to wind up 364 yds of yarn into one nice looking ball. Quick and easy, machine didn’t struggle at all

I've used this yarn winder for two years now without issue, acrylic, cotton, bamboo, velvet and blanket yarn all work amazingly well. Slightly squeaky at times but i dont care lol

My first winder (which I'd misplaced) was much sturdier. This one feels more flimsy, and I had to bend the metal yarn guide in order for the winder to work.I have since found my original one, and anticipate it lasting my lifetime. This one - better than not having one at all, but I'd recommend others to buy a better brand.

This product doesn't work like it says it works, yarn tangles. Very poor quality. Wish I had returned it in time.
