About this item

  • Automatic Water Level Control Float Valve: The float valve automatically refills water in your tank, pool, sink or any other container when the water falls below the valve level. Replenishment automatically stops once it reaches the valve, so it closes when water reaches the internal float. Comes with metal clip so you can install the valve on the water tank, very convenient to use
  • Easy to Install: These float valves fit 1/2", 3/4" and 1" water pipes as top inlet or side inlet, the 1/2" float valve itself has 1/2" long male threads, tank float valve comes with There are 1/2" to 3/4" adapters and 1/2" to 1" adapters, no matter your pipe size is 1/2" or 3/4" or 1", you can easily use this valve. It also comes with a 1/2" female thread elbow
  • Working water pressure: The float valve works at 10psi to 150psi water pressure. If the water pressure is too low or too high, the float valve will not be suitable for use and it will not work or be damaged. Working temperature: 0°C~100°C or 0-210°F. The float valve comes with a filter
  • No Electricity Needed: An internal float valve allows water to flow until a specific level is reached. Once the water level reaches this height, the float valve is pushed up by the water due to buoyancy and stops the flow of water. When the water level starts to drop, the valve will open again and water will start flowing again, so no electricity is needed. The fully automatic water replenishment shut-off water tank float valve is made of food-grade material 304 stainless steel
  • Please Note: If you are using any type of self-filling float indoors, make sure you have an emergency overflow system. Any type of self-filling float can eventually malfunction and cause flooding. It is best to set a minimum water flow required to maintain a full water level

But once I got the replacement it worked perfectly. I use it with a line spliced into my refrigerator water line to keep a humidifier filled. Works exceptionally well without leaks.

Bought this item to keep my outdoor goldfish pond filled while away from home for a few days. Glad I got it a few days before leaving since I had problems with needing to get an adapter for using a hose, water leaks at the connections and finding a way to keep the filler in its loose bracket. I still don't trust it not to leak or fly out of the water while I'm gone, so I'm also connecting a hose timer to the faucet just in case.

Worked exactly as advertised. Be sure to use plenty of teflon tape, like 4-6 wraps.

Packaging aside (meaning, the item arrived completely out of the manufacturers package, with all of the parts bouncing around inside of the much larger Amazon box that contained several other items that arrived the same day, the product itself is very nicely made and well-equipped. I immediately replaced a defective, far lesser quality version that I had installed last year to regulate the water supply in one of my animal watering troughs. The old one was PVC plastic and didn't make it through the winter, despite having a continually-warmed water supply, provided by a water-heating element. The plastic version merely died due to inferior quality components, which I learned of when I dismantled it after it had failed. The internal, lever-action of the float mechanism relied upon very thinly cast components and a couple of o-rings that just couldn't handle continual use apparently. Anyhow, regarding this product, this thing is made incredibly well, using quality stainless steel components and easily replaceable internal seals (I know because I took it apart before installing it, to inspect it's design), which greatly pleases me. It came with everything that I needed to secure it to my watering trough and adapt it to my warmed water-supply line, which feeds to this trough from just below the frost line from my shop's well pump, then travels up through the frost line (obviously) but is then wrapped with an electronic, thermostatically-controlled heated winding (which itself is covered in thermal insulation wrap), then leads directly into this float valve. This does not even consider the separate water-heating element that sits in the basin of the trough, to keep the larger pool of drinking water from freezing over throughout the winter months. The entire system works incredibly well, aside from that old plastic float valve that is now, a thing of the past. I am excited for this coming winter, to watch it all work together to keep my animals properly watered and my worries about that same issue, at bay. I'm very pleased with this product but obviously, cannot yet speak to longevity. So, if over time, this float valve fails for some reason, or becomes problematic, I will update this review accordingly. Until then, I gladly recommend it to others.

It fills too high before shutting off. It's hard to seal from leaking. Since it's made in China the pipe threads aren't good at all.

The valve works great like others of this type. It’s the mounting and attachment that is lacking. Another vendor is offering a length of bendable stainless hose that is just brilliant, and cheaper, than this solution.

I got this float valve to save time watering my chickens. I have it installed into a five gallon bucket. Works great. Keeps the water full. Did struggle a little at first with stopping leaks at the connection but in the end got it working.
