I've used this to check spots in the refrigerator to find the best location to keep my milk. Seems to work well. I also use it to check the air temperature leaving the HVAC vents for both heating and cooling. Lets me know which ducts likely need more insulation. Overall it's a handy tool.

If you give an immortal monkey a Fluke 62 MAX, sooner or later he will figure it out. Once he figures it out, however, the unit is great. I especially like that you can ask it to display the highest,or lowest readings for an item, the difference between the two readings, or an average of the readings. The display is easily readable. It has the feeling of a well built item, even though it is Hecho en China. I am using it to check the temperature of transmission fluid in a VW Jetta TDI and a M-B ML 320 CDI when I change the fluid and the filters. There is no transmission dipstick for these vehicles, and they are filled through their drain holes. Go figure.While the manual is close to useless, the software is pretty intuitive. I still do not know what an EMS is. Too many languages included in the manual, causing cost cutting in producing it. Very useful at work. I work in an industrial atmosphere and this gun is very resilient against drops dirt dust sun light and all the other stuff that it can be exposed to in a live plant. I recommend this product, don’t buy the cheap other guns or you will regret it
