I buy a few of these a year for our elevator mechanics and fire alarm electricians. They are dependable and alway work well. I’m sure a telco guy could elaborate why they have a tone/pulse option, though. I’m pretty sure it’s there just to annoy me by always being in Pulse when I first dial out.

I have been using Fluke products for years in the Fire & Life Safety industry and they are the leader in testing equipment. This tester is reliable, easy to use, and durable. I have used other testers and they simply do not compare. I have had my tester for 5+ years and i love it. I actually bought this one for a tech who works for me.

Had to replace my old original Harris T22A and didn't want to spend $300 so got this one instead. It does the job it's designed to do. Pretty simple to use if you know how to use a butt set. But instructions are easy to follow. A must have in your tool arsenal for testing out pots lines.

Came in very quickly, complete as described, and at the best price I've seen for this product. They had all the options as well. Worth every penny, it is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the tech field. Works great, and doesn't weigh my belt down!

Works like a butt set! Two features I like with this one over my previous butt sett are:1- the buttons on the hand set are larger and less likely to shift to another setting when brushed.2- The last number redial. When testing a line to find out the associated number, I always dial the same phone number. One large button push is sweet. The design protects this button so it is harder to inadvertently push it.

This butt set is basic and to the point. Great for working with analog phone lines and no batteries needed.

This is a simple butt set but is sturdy, well made, and doesn't require a battery to operate.I've been using this butt set for a month so far and haven't had any problems yet. it's a good backup for my ts54 which I unfortunately had to replace the alligator clips for way back.if you are just starting out in telecom installation this is a must have tool.

4 stars rather than 5 just because it's so expensive. But well made, durable, easy to use. You do not require a battery for this thing
