This DATTON iPad 9th generation screen replacement kit contained what we needed, however there were no instructions. As this is not an intuitive process, it was a little annoying to have to go online to several different sites to make sure we were doing it correctly. We finished the task, but it took way longer than it should have.

My daughter dropped her iPad and broke the screen. As a result of the brake the old screen was VERY VERY difficult to remove. The directions with this screen seem to imply the screen stopped functioning... but removing a broken screen is far more difficult.The part that cost a star is the fact that I had to modify my old screen and this new screen to support touchID. This is NOT a direct replacement, you do need to take time to remove the button from both old and new, and get the button onto the new screen. This took almost 30 minutes for me to do because I was afraid I would end up breaking both the TouchID button and the regular button that comes with this "replacement". I also can't seem to get the new screen to sit completely flush with the bezel on the iPad. I think this is my failure, but I can't take it back apart without risking making everything worse.Having said that, it does seem to work and it is better than having a broken screen. Overall, with limited experience in this type of task... I think I spent over 2 hours. I really wish I'd just taken the iPad somewhere and paid for professional replacement.

They came with very good tool. It did not come with any directions search on YouTube to figure out how to use it and the screen flickers. It won’t let me enter the code. He keeps flickering and putting in the wrong code, locking me out.

This is an excellent repair kit for your ipad. It comes with all the tools you'll need, as well as a screen protector to put on the replacement screen. The included screen installs easily and works as well as the factory screen as far as I can tell. It all comes in a nice, sturdy box, so there are no concerns about receiving it damaged.

We got this to replace the screen on an Ipad 9th gen. The original screen had been shattered. I had to order a heat gun to make the job a bit easier. Now, mind you, I am a tech guy by trade. SO, what comes easy for me may not for someone else. This kit comes with everything you need to replace a screen. However, you must be very careful or you will damage internal parts. Also, make sure you are grounded properly before doing this. It may not happen, but if you are not, you could short out the internal components. It took me about an hour to replace the screen on the Ipad and it works exactly as it should. The touch feature is an extra step. You can do it, but it is not necessary. Recommend this item.

This was a relatively easy process to replace the digitizer on an iPad. There are many youtube videos that can help guide you through the installation. I took off one start because the Touch ID button that came with this unit didn't work with the adding a Finger print to the iPad. I was able to use the existing touch id button. Everything else worked great and the digitizer adhered well to the case. I would definitely recommend.
