Installation Precautions:
1. Turn off the power of your cell phone before installation.
2. We recommend a professional installer to do the installation; if you want to try to do it by yourself, you can consult a professional at a repair store or find installation videos on YouTube.
3. Do not bend the cables. During installation and testing, make sure the LCD cable is not bent!
4. Connect the cables in the correct locations. Test the screen after connecting all cables to the screen

I bought this for my daughter’s iPad that cracked after being thrown by her baby brother. I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg to replace it professionally so I did my own research and purchased this one. I won’t lie, it was quite the obstacle of getting the previous screen off, but installation of this screen was quite easy. I was fortunate and didn’t have any issues whatsoever. The screen works great and looks brand new. The ONLY issue I had was the adhesive that comes with it. It didn’t stick well enough so I had to purchase some Viomis T-7000 adhesive to help keep the screen in place. This doesn’t take away from the 5 stars as I didn’t mind buying the adhesive since we’ve used it for other things. I’m just happy she has a new screen that looks great and didn’t cost a fortune. I will say, it took me like 5 hours to do it, but the main reason it took so long was getting the old screen off. Once it was all off and ready for the new screen, it was easy to put on.

This is not my first time replacing a screen. It's pretty straight forward. The pieces that connect to the ipad will not stay seated. My old screen connectors work fine, but the screen is cracked, so I know it's not my ipad that's at fault.

The digitizer itself? Solid. No complaints. But the attached ribbon cable for the home button? Folded like a toddler wrapped it for Christmas. Had to gently (*cough* forcefully) stuff it into place like I was cramming an overpacked suitcase.The adhesive? Let’s just say I’ve seen stronger commitments from people in situationships. Ended up using my own. And the included tools? Cute, but I went with my iFixIt kit because I enjoy actual functionality.Still, for the price, it does the job. Just be ready to MacGyver your way through installation. Took me about 2 hours after watching a YouTube video. 4 stars!

Everything looked good in the kit and installation went perfect but the digitizer just doesn’t work near the edges.
