Edit - after less than 2 years my iPad now crashes and reboots when the battery gets down to 80%. Was a good fix for about 1 1/2 years but didn’t last as long as I had hoped.You definitely will want to do your homework before attempting this. (Watch a few YouTube Videos) My husband changed out my IPad battery after watching some videos and it works great! But it is tedious and not something you want to rush.

I had the battery installed in my iPad and it only charges to 30%. I had the iPad checked out to see if the issue is with the iPad, the technician says nothing is wrong with the iPad he says the problem is the battery.

It took 1 1/2 hours. Couldn’t have done it without my husband, who is more technically skilled than me in this sort of thing. The heating gun works better than hairdryer. Be patient and don’t lift up screen too soon. It works, but it’s a job! With inflation, it was still worth it though.Edit…4 months later…battery is losing its charge faster every day. It’s a short term fix.

This is the second battery that I’ve ever replace on an electronic device, 1st on my iPad, took me about 1:30 hours, that also included the replacement of the cracked digitizer.So far battery life is good.

Don't bother with this model. I'm a meticulous and detail-oriented guy, and I completely ruined my ipad trying to replace the battery. Instructions were very hard/near impossible to follow with the supplied tools and normal home equipment... and then my ipad didn't ever work again. Trash.

The connector got damaged when Amazon shipped it with a cast iron fry pan. Got a replacement in 2 days. Replacement worked perfectly.
