- Before installing the new screen, connect it to the motherboard first and test to make sure all functions work well. This step is essential as it helps you identify any potential issues with the screen in advance and ensures that you won’t waste time on installing a defective screen.
- Always disconnect the power supply before removing the old screen. This is to prevent accidental touches and improper removal of the old screen when the device is on, which could cause a motherboard short circuit. Such a short circuit can damage the motherboard seriously and make the device unable to work properly.
- When replacing the screen, be mindful of the differences in screw sizes and lengths; incorrect placement can damage the screen.
- Face ID relies on the flood illuminator and infrared camera in the sensor assembly. To ensure Face ID works properly, these components must be carefully transferred from the old screen to the new one. If damaged, Face ID will be permanently disabled.
- Transplanting the screen chip can remove the “Non-genuine Apple screen” warning. However, if you're an individual buyer, please note that not performing this operation will not affect the normal use of the device. It is recommended that you do not attempt it due to potential risks.
PROBLEM SOLUTION
If your phone has issues after installation, such as failure to power on, touch malfunctions, screen flickering, or lines on the screen, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the screen and battery from the motherboard, then reconnect the motherboard.
- Force - restart the phone.

The screen quality is a pleasant surprise. Colors are vivid and the touch response is accurate, though not 100% as smooth as the original in some rare cases. The tools are handy. They did the job well, but a couple were a bit flimsy. Overall, it's a good value for the price.
