Have been purchasing these for years. Recently tried the cheaper Pure Plus filter. I normally replace the whole house every 6 months and with this filter, my initial RO filter (downstream) stayed white the entire time. After switching, the initial RO filter was a dark brown. Same specs, but definitely not the same performance. It would not be obvious without the visual proof (see photo)!

Order arrived on time and in perfect condition. I may replace the filter every 4 months now that I see what the past 6 months looks like.

We installed our filter exactly one year ago and promptly forgot about it. That is until a couple weeks ago when the water pressure began dropping. Actually, it wasn't the water pressure, it was the rate of flow. If we flushed the toilet while the sink tap was on, the flow dropped dramatically. Long story short, while talking to a plumber he asked when I last changed the filter. Duh! I checked the old filter and it was coated with sand and stuff. This was a direct replacement and now the flow is back where it should be.

Every time I change one of these filters, I can't believe how much crud is covering it. It's nasty. They're expensive, but they catch an incredible amount of stuff. Helps me feel better knowing the water my family is consuming is better.
