My radio for controlling flash isn't working right now, and I wanted something less expensive than another radio set, so I got this long cable that has the two ends I need: a male flash PC sync to plug into my Olympus OM-D camera and 3.5mm male fitting to plug into my flash unit.Note: not all external third party flash units have a jack for connecting a sync cable.This cable fit my needs perfectly. I don't currently need the 3.5mm jack to 6.35mm male adapter, but I will keep it with my box of flash supplies (I keep three speed lights, a radio set, lithium batteries - because they last longer than alkaline batteries - plus stands and covers in a clear plastic bin; and in my camera bag I keep the super small but nifty Olympus flash that came with the camera and a small TTL flash unit that I can trigger remotely).To take photos of pictures, I use two flash units set equidistant from my camera and angled to light the picture without bouncing glare to the camera lens. Each flash sits on a tripod about four feet from the camera and above the lens hood of the camera (to prevent directly lighting the inside of the lens hood). So I need a long cable to go from my camera to one flash unit (I set the other flash unit to slave off of the flash of the first unit).I share all of this detail in the event that you face a similar need or contemplate an identical project.

These guys shorted almost immediately and are pretty much completely useless. These are junk consider looking at wireless flashes..... Especially if you're using Chinese made strobes.

I’m a photobooth owner and my original sync cord for my external flash went out and I needed a new one in a hurry! Amazon to the rescue! I got this product quick and it works like a charm. Sturdy and plenty long enough for what I needed!
