I have been eating a battery tester for years. After doing a little research this inexpensive one is amazing. It has all the functions you need and does the job quickly. Its small size is very convenient and being able to do 6 V and above. I’m using it to test my start battery but mostly for all the AGM and lead acid 6 V batteries we use for solar.

Great tester. I was seeing battery issues with a boat battery and two auto parts stores said there was nothing wrong with the battery. I got this tester out of frustration and this tester showed a short on the screw on terminal which is where my wires connected.. so glad I purchased this!Ultimately the auto parts store replaced my battery.

Cold weather can be very hard on a battery, but my truck must start every time, even if it is covered in a foot of snow. After noticing a couple slow cranks, I pulled the battery and put it on a charger. Then I researched a few battery testers intended for the home mechanic, and chose the Foxwell BT301. My main reasons were easy to use, clear indication of good or bad and why, and it had to be AGM compatible.Out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the cable and clamps, and the impact protection on the case. I spent about five minutes reviewing the instructions to understand how to adjust the settings, disconnected the charger, and connected to my battery. The instrument booted up immediately, I scrolled through the menus and adjusted for my battery’s CCA. Moments later, I had the answer I expected; the state of charge (SOC) was full, but it’s state of health (SOH) was low.To perform a proper test, I allowed the battery to rest, and confirmed my result. Then I used the tester on other batteries, in and out of the car. Each time, the instrument performed flawlessly.IMHO, the Foxwell BT301 is a strong competitor in the home mechanic market, and possibly even as a second or backup tester for a repair shop or parts store. It really is that good, well worth the price I paid, and I am happy to add it to my tool box.

Works pretty good, multiple options for different tests on batteries. I use for testing marine cranking amps.

Works well seems accurate compared to others I've used in my 40 years as a technician BUT!! DOES NOT DO 6 V BATTERIES that's why 3 stars only

I was shopping for digital battery tester with the features presented in this device. I chose this one because it will test 6 volt batteries and their systems as well as 12 volt. I found it is easy to use and confirmed its accuracy with my old analog tester
